My story, in short. I had an ectopic pregnancy in March, which lead to the loss of my right tube as well. My remaining tube was in great condition and my uterus was clean. This possibly changed when I was diagnosed with PID in March  but my gyno doesn't want to check yet ! I went on Depo in June to stop the bleeding as it wasn't helping me cope, bleeding continued and the only option my fam doctor gave me was another shot 6w early, so I did it .. stupid stupid ! Anyways, I skipped my last shot which was Oct 14 as OH and I want to ttc badly. I was in to see my gyno for the first time yesterday, she said to try for a year and if nothing, then we'll start tests.. I don't want to wait that long or find out the hard way that my only tube has scarring. On top of that, my chances of conceiving and having a normal pregnancy is only 50% .. I'm extremely terrified, but OH and I want at least ONE healthy pregnancy, we're not gonna get greedy ! I have so many factors weighing against me :dohh:
I need some hope .. this has to be the most difficult thing I've been faced with !

I'm really sorry for your diagnosis.
I'm sending you lots of baby :dust: and hope you get your healthy baby soon
Stay strong and positive :hugs:

i have also recently had an ectopic and tube removal, and have had PID in the past also on numerous occasions.
the doctors have told me that it is more like 75% chance not 50% as your ovaries do not always alternate exactly each month, one could work harder and release more times than the other. The one thing i was most petrified about after surgery was conceiving ok again, and they told me that i shouldnt worry as most people go on to have completely normal pregnancies that dont take any longer than any one else.
i am holding on to this fact, i have just had my first cycle now exactly 4 weeks after surgery, so i am beginning to believe it now.
i had 1 shot of the depo early this year and it took approx 6 months for me to concieve, so just try and relax as this does help alot xx
good luck to you x (and me...)

Hey Darlings

My cousin had an ectopic and lost one of her tubes also BUT she went onto have two very healthy babies after that! Don't lose hope, you will be pregnant again in no time AND go on to have a very healthy pregnancy :hugs:
