Tesco baby clothing?

I don't like Tesco baby clothes. I don't think they wash very well at all. They look lovely the first time they are worn but after one wash I think they look tatty tbh

I love asda for everyday wear and Next for good stuff. I hit the Next sale yesterday and spent a fortune!

I have got a few bits for Jack from Tesco, and they have always been good quality. Sainsburys do some wonderful bits too, I really like them.

I alwys find Tesco never has the right size though!

The few tops I've had from tesco for LO seem to come up a bit small. They've lasted ok through washes, but he's outgrown them quicker than other tops from elsewhere in the same sizes. We get the bulk of LO's clothes from sainsbury's, and a few bits from Asda and matalan, although the matalan stuff is a bit hit and miss too.

Edited to add- we've had some really nice bits from h&m too :)

I'm heading off to Tesco today to see what else we can get in the sale

I really like tesco and asda stuff. We've got some bits which have lasted through Imogen and teddy is now wearing.

H and M is brilliant. I find the next stuff often looks a bit tatty after it's washed, but we buy a lot from Mothercare as well.

i buy my sleepsuits and vests from Sainsbury's because the quality is just fantastic...

i buy everything else second hand from Ebay, you can get Monsoon jumpers which would cost 40 quid brand new for around 8 quid! cant beat that!

LO had an outfit from tesco for christmas and bearing in mind he is a little baby i think they come up quite small, the other thing is that he has a big head and the tesco top was so tight to get over i dont think ill use it again, he has tops a size smaller from M+S that fit fine over.

i love tescos clothes. find there a big fit as well for my girls. Always last longer than some of the other brands. Sainsburys is good also. The only place i find quite bad for sleepsuits is asda. The singles one you can buy are good. But i find the packs the sleepsuits are quite thin.x

I used to get all the boys' stuff from Sainsbury's but the last lot we got a couple of months ago, the quality is noticably poorer, the stitching on the t-shirts doesn't look that evenly done and on one of my second youngest t-shirts it has holes in already, the time before that when we got clothes we got them from ASDA and those still look new for the most part-so I think we will be going with ASDA again next time. Tesco stuff varies; I do find some of their vests and PJs instead of shrinking have the problem of stretching and drooping out of shape very easily if you don't tumble dry them (and we don't have a dryer). I also got some nice stuff from M&S and H&M recently, the H&M stuff is extremely long lasting-one long sleeved bodysuit which was around my son's knees when my sis first bought it for him has just gone completely too small for him and we got 8-9 months of wear out of it and it still looks in great condition! xx

We have tesco and asda stuff. I find it's longer and doesn't shrink in the wash. :)

i find tescos are the best, mothercare quality is disgraceful, next stuff shrivels up even on cool wash and cool dry, asda loses elasticity and pumpkin patch sizing is odd. The other one thats ok is mini mode from boots.

Patch H&M is my weakness lol and its cheap. Next and H&M are the main shops i use for LO's clothes but when i work it out i spend at least a couple hundred on his clothes and they only last 3 months, 4 at the most and i won't put them on him when they just fit. I like him to have some room in them IYKWIM

xx

Yes next babygro's wash and dry really well but they can be a bit pricey. I got some sainsbury's ones in the summer sale and they are fab. and i got 3 for £5. Not keen on asda vests, they seem to shrink really quickly! Mothercare vests are good though and you get a nice big pack. I got a pack of 7 for £6

can you tell i like a bargain?

 same here lol. I LOVE to bargain hunt :haha:

I think Tesco stuff is fine, I've never had any problems. Same goes for Asda. I find sainsburys to be the best quality though there stuff comes up quite long - great for long babies and you can always turn up cuffs.

I've actually had most problems with Next, although the clothes are normally good quality I've had some tights that bobbled after one wash and the sleepsuit cuffs seem quite tight.

I've never had problems with shrinkage anywhere - what wash are you using? We do clothes on a 40 wash and hang to dry usually. If something gets poop on then I do it at 50 and cross my fingers!

I do my dark clothes on a 30 and my lights on a 40 and tumble dry.

Ive had some pyjamas for LO from Tesco and thinking back i think they did go out of shape. I got a babygrow set from one of my family when LO was born but he only had it on once so can't really say if it would have lasted.

Yeah Asda sleepsuits are so thin. I bought LO some for when it was hot which worked out good.

I bought LO alot from Mothercare when he was 1st born. All of it bobbled and faded. I do find that the vests look new everytime i wash them. The babygrows did shrink but that could have been me witht he dryer . I love there babygrow designs though and Baby K, that has lasted.

Pumpkin patch are really wierd sizes. I just don't bother now as we don't have a shop here any more so have to order online and never know what will fit!

I've bought loads of tesco stuff both in newborn up to toddler age and it washes and wears brilliantly. Recommend Sainsburys and ASDA too!

I find the mothercare 'normal' clothes really good quality but their sleepwear/vests are awful, some of the babygros my youngest had went bobbled just from him bouncing in his bouncy chair for a few hours on one day :o I got them all either as gifts, with some shopping vouchers I won or on offer-had I not I would have been peed off! xx

Ooo i have to take that back about tescos having little holes for the head just realised that they are from sainsburys or at least i think they are, they have TU in the label.

tive just bought half of LOs wardrobe from h&m online. They never usually have stock but they had everything last night. Even got a £10 discount! £30 for the lot.
