Text link help! Ive read the sticky..

But I dont understand it! All the other gals get it no problem, and I feel like crying!

I just want my journal link to be a neat tidy title rather than all the https:// stuff.
When I read the sticky, I didnt understand where Im supposed to type the phrase that I want the text link to say. I tried to do it in 'edit signature', but I didnt get the little box with a cross when I highlighted it. Nothing happened at all in fact.

Please help me, I currently feel as emotionally unstable as my nearly two year old

And then put your journal title in the highlighted bit

Paste the link to your journal in the box and click OK. Then it comes up in the quick reply box. Click on the highlighted part and type what you want and then click post.

Do the exact thing I just said but in the edit signature box.

Ha ha, Ive gone beyond tearful frustration to just humoured exasperation now. Its where I want it, and it looks good, but it doesnt act as a link. Nothing happens when you try to press it. Im going to bed soon so Ill have a look with fresh eyes tomorrow.

Life With My High Needs Toddler[/URL add a ] to the end.

This should do it. Just add an ] to the end after /URL with no spaces.
And it will end up like this:
