So my LO is 11 days old and my ex who was never around during the pregnancy, has never bought anything for her before or after her birth, didn't bother to get his name on her birth certificate or offer any child support has well and truly annoyed me beyond belief! He has seen her twice, changed one nappy and held her long enough to have photos taken that he can post all over the internet under the heading of "proud daddy!" then went on to tell me how he went out and got drunk to celebrate her birth and how he 'gave a speech'. He wasn't even in the same city for her birth!
Just really irritates me that I'm paying for everything for her, I'm sitting up with her every night screaming and he's doing none of this but feels he can go off and give a speech.
I do apologise for my long rant but I feel I needed to vent! Lol

It is a fucking joke and I sympathise majorly with you. This is the main massive reason that FOB has not been allowed into my house because I know what he would be like and it is what you have described. He sends me letters every so often blaming me, that last one was quite threatening, he wasn't a part of the pregnancy by his choice, hasn't bought anything nor is paying maintenance or even asked when I was going to register her but had the audacity to write to me demanding to see her and have a photo so he can celebrate... wtf!!!! And apparently I am ruining it all for him.

These 'men' are pathetic beyond words and it is a major joke. Feel free to rant away, it keeps us all sane.

It's nice to know I'm not the only one with a child to a total idiot lol Yea her dad didn't ask about registering her birth either and my favourite was the weekend she was most likely to be born he 'lost' his phone on the friday afternoon and recovered it on the sunday...Nice to know his priorities were with drinking!

Men just never seem to see what they do wrong do they? haha

FOB dos this just turns up for photos so he can play the perfect daddy...its enough for me that LO looks at him and clearly doesn't know him but I feel for you it is bloody annoying!
