We've just found out today we're having a girl.

We're not telling anyone though, including DD, it'll be a surprise.

DD has decided she will be naming the baby and has decided if it's a girl it'll be called Glonda, yes GLONDA! or Seashell, which is actually better than Glonda!

If it's a boy it'll be Alistair. Mainly because that's the name of a little boy who was at her nursery that she loved!

What weird names have your other children come up with and how do you tell them NO WAY!?

Well, considering DS was adamant that DD1 would be named "Seatbelt".. there really was no way to let him down gently. :haha:

My siblings wanted to name my first son Cander and we actually have Alistair as this baby's name :)

Haha my 2.5 year old calls the baby Dodger!

My 4 year old wanted to call the baby batman!

Girl = sophie. If oscar was a girl he'd of been sophia. A boy = Sven :dohh: ummmm no

DS has suggested calling the baby Snowflake or Daffodil if its a girl... DD has decided on Animal. I have deflected them by saying "let's get some fish" :haha:

:haha:

I love these names! Kids are so funny :)

Just gonna have to let them down gently :)

My daughter is 9 and obsessed with the Hunger Games. She wants to name her little sister after the female characters in the movie, either Katniss, or Rue. Lol!

My son has 2 names he insists on - his favorite being Lillian. He now recently started pushing for Crystal also. I told him today that I would never use either name.... so he thought for a minute and said how about we name her "Pretty"? After I shot that down... he then said, "Ok - how about Dandelion???"

I have a feeling there will be lots of name battles if we are ever blessed with baby # 2. (Which be the way, he will only entertain the idea of the baby being a girl!!!)

Just asked Miss 5 for ideas

Boy - Olaf
Girl - Elsa

ummmm - no!

Apparently, when I was three and a half, my parents asked me for suggestions as to what they should call the little brother they had just presented me with, and I proposed Jesus Semolina Tuskan (semolina being my favourite food at the time, and Tuskan a fictional elephant of whose misadventures I was particularly fond). They went with Simon Mark...

My 3.5 year old wanted to name his little sister Dave. We decided on Rebecca instead..

When we didn't know the gender Callum wanted to call the baby "Hiro" if it was a boy because he loves Thomas and Hiro is a Thomas train from Japan!

He knows DD's name is Amelie and when I ask him her name he says it but sometimes he likes to try and be cheeky and use a really random name like "annoying orange" or "lightning McQueen" lol

My DD knows that we loved the Rosie for a girl, and she keeps suggesting it. Problem is we're expecting a boy.. According to her that doesn't matter! Lol. DS's new favourite word is "bumbum" so I'm a bit scared to ask his opinion on baby names! Lol
