How can I tell the difference, does anyone know? Been having cramps...I really think it's my stomach. I'm only 5 weeks and almost every twinge makes me run to the bathroom to check for spotting!

It's hard to say, to be honest. I have IBS and those cramps have always mimicked menstrual cramps. To say I was a wreck throughout first tri is an understatement! I find that if the cramps ease after going to the bathroom then it most likely had to do with the bathroom. Constipation is pretty typical in first tri so if you aren't spotting try to assume it's intestinal. Maybe try drinking some tea or lightly rubbing your stomach when it gets bad. I find it helps a bit. And don't strain on the toilet.
