And I've decided that I'm very old and boring

Life used to be all about shoes, holidays, nights out, makeup and clothes, now I get stupidly excited about steam irons, steam mops and slow cookers.

I've become my granny

I am totally my mother. Today I bought one of those things that is a bottle with smelly stuff in it, that the sticks poke out of? The first thing my LO said that it was what nanny had I love my new iron, my steam cleaner, I am a bit OCD about cleaning, I can't help it anymore. And I was a messy biatch as a teenager..

I still do love clothes and make up, however I would buy a few good things per year rather than trendy, cheap, throwaway crap from e.g. Primark.

OH bought a carpet cleaner last month and we were BOTH stupidly excited!!

I can't wait to get our kitchen decorated to buy new things and the garden!

DH and I won £50 love to shop vouchers last year....what did you do with them I hear you ask, did we go out for a meal? Did I buy some new make up or some sexy lingerie perhaps? Nope me and hubby went into town and gleefully picked out a handheld Hoover and then bickered about who would get to be the first to Hoover the stairs. HA.

Yeah I get a bit excited about household items.

Last Xmas I bought myself a Tefal Actifry, the year before I bought myself a Dyson cordless hoover.....I was VERY excited when I bought myself a Vax Carpet Cleaner. Sigh...I need to get out more.

I really want a dyson but i feel a bit mean to our hoover we've had it 5 years and it's still perfect! Why is when you actually want to replace something it will last longer than you ever thought? My husband really wants a carpet cleaner, little things hey?!

Totally agree. My friends are all about concerts, clubs and traveling. I am currently researching steam mops and tumble dryers. My last household purchase that really excited me a double retractable washing line, double the drying space who isn't excited!

You know what I like doing? Planning the food shop. I go through mysupermarket so I can see the best offers. I think I'm obsessed I only had a delivery today and I'm already planning next weeks delivery.

I'm very excited to be getting a new Dyson in the next week or so AND it comes with an £80 Argos voucher so that means I get new bedding, pillows, cushions etc as well . The possibilities are endless!!!

Lol! I am still in love with my american fridge freezer that we got when we bought our house just over a year ago. OH bought a dyson a couple of years ago and he loves it, he doesn't like anyone else using it, ha. I could definitely use a bigger, state of the art power iron with all the ironing I get through!
