The losers club

:hugs: Nats, sorry all this shit is going on. That's a good idea to record what he's saying, not sure if that would be admissible in court though? It's still good to have proof though.

Hi PLB, hope you're all doing well!

:hugs: Nats

FML had the childminder nagging me all week about paying, she knows it's OH who pays but I'm the one getting all the texts every day and she knows we're skint and just have to work out who's paying what but she sent me a snotty text wanting payment as she has bills to pay so I've sent the money now I don't have enough to pay the bills that are due to come out tomorrow :(

I know that must suck for you Emmy, but I think I would be annoyed if I had to chase payment for a service I provided. It really sounds like it's time to quit that job. If you regularly make a loss it probably makes more sense not to work for the time being, and saves on paying a childminder too :hugs:

I agree with Saph, quit, its no good you working that job if you're losing money from it.

I keep saying that to OH but he keeps telling me to stick at it :(

I told CM that she'd have it by the end of the week which she said was fine on Tuesday but changed her mind :(

If she'd already agreed to the end of the week, then that's not fair. Maybe her OH was pressuring her? Does your OH know how unhappy you are with the job? Surely if you're losing money he must realise it makes sense to quit?

That's not fair if she's going back on her word. But I agree, it's madness to keep working when you're making a loss. :hugs:

Nats, he is being suck an ass, I'm so sorry. :(

I'm so tired. :(

That's rubbish Emmy :( I agree, I think it's time to give that job up. I would stay at a job if I hated it or was financially worse off if there were prospects or something, but it doesn't sound like it's got much going for it.

What was for tea losers? We had sausage caserole. One of those 'posh' jars when you just add onions and water. Was scrummy! Madam ate two whole sausages!! Not even piddly little sausages, proper chunky ones!! They were extra special ones so hopefully not too many nasties in them. I only had two sausages as well!!

Sorry for the way things are going Nats :hugs: Sounds rubbish. Breaking up with someone when there's kids involved is never going to be completely simple but it sounds like he's making it unnecessarily difficult for you all. He didn't appreciate you and Maria when you were there so not sure why he's bothered you found someone else and is so intent on spending time with Maria. I'd love to see what he does with her when she's there. He sounds like the type of dad to sit watching TV while she's keeping herself busy.

So as you probably saw via FB, a pretty good couple of days for me :) About time!! Only took 7 months to get the job!! Looks like a January start. Still have to pass a medical and fitness test, vetting and have a home visit from a senior officer. Think the home visit is to make sure there's no one secret living at the house!

Also the house is officially marked up as sold subject to contract! :D We did nab it from someone else though! They made an offer so we offered 500 more. Plus that buyer didn't have a buyer for their property and we are ready to go so think it was a simple decision for the seller!!

I'm baaaaaaaack losers! I have broadband losers!!
I'm sorry your ex is being such a shit Nats :hugs:
Well done Blondey!
Emmy, have you looked at picking up something in a supermarket for the time being? Perhaps evenings or weekends then DH will do the childcare? It would be exhausting tho...
I have a sore throat, woe is me!
Hayden has 5 teeth, tabitha is really learning to tantrum ATM, is not fun!!
Sapph, watched your DH last night! I was all chuffed cos I kinda knew someone on tv!

Nice one Blondey, glad things are going well for you!

Boooo to tantrums Michelle

Ha! I watched it too! I'm such a sad loser!
Oh nats, it's just baws. :(

:happydance: congratulations blondey!! Send some house dust our way, we're putting an offer in tomorrow. Eeeekkkk!
Hola Michelle, that's a lot of teeth! Hope he's sleeping better for you. :hugs: T is so cute looking, I can't imagine her tantruming! ;)
We had spag and meatballs for dinner, delicious. Jen loves sausages, she's def likely to eat 2!
Took her swimming and shopping today, I got her some Christmas presents, pjs, slippers, and owl backpack. Writing the rest of the presents lists ATM. I think we'll stick to our usual rule of only getting Jen one thing and people contributing to it. I think we're getting her a kitchen (no idea which one- any ideas?) and getting the grandparents/ aunts and uncles to get things to go in it.

Blondey, scrap that, don't send me house dust- I've got enough of my own! :dohh: :haha:

 at house dust

I've been buying Maria a few things for christmas already, mostly wooden toys cos I like wooden toys best. Got her a cool wooden tank from the market in Helsinki this week.

I love this one....

It's very expensive tho but I want something not too girls that'll last 2 kids!

Nice one Blondey!

We had salmon en croute and potato wedges for tea, was yummy (and everything was in the reduced section in Asda so cost about two quid ;)

There's an online shopping job going in Sains in Ely, but it's 5am til 8am 4 days a week at £6.50 an hour. Really considering it, even though it's really early. Would only need 3 hours a week in childcare too

Congrats blondey, you deserve it!

Good luck tomorrow lettuce!

:hugs: nats, can't be pleasant.

Emmy, totally agree with the others. At the end of the day, us childminders work for a living and need to be paid on time just as much as those of you who are employed by an employer. We all rely on been paid just as much as someone else. Maybe she originally was genuinely trying to help you out but then realised she couldn't be without it any longer. To be fair, if you're employer said to you that they couldn't pay you on pay day you would be a pretty miffed. You definitely need to re-think about this job. It's a no brainer to me but to quit it. What is it that is keeping you there? It all seems bad points by what you say on here and on fb

I've done a wish list on ELC and I'm going to email it to family and ask them to pick whatever they wish to buy him off the list. Last year he ended up with some duplicate toys and don't want that happen this year

Good idea fabby! :)
Oh michelle! I want that one soooooo much! :( it's so dear tho. It's just cos I wanna a play with it. The ikea accessories look fab. I might get some of those.
Ah Emmy, that sounds good! I'd go for it, I know it's early, but you'd see so much more of Doo.

Emmy, that sounds much better! would your OH be able to re-jig his hours so he could watch doo til you get home? then you could save even more cash? i assuming that first thing in the morning would be when you needed childcare?
good idea Fabby, i might get folk to chip in for a kitchen :)

:haha: at Michelle and Lettuce. I want to tell everyone on the street that DH is a tv star, now that's sad

Nice kitchen Michelle! See if lucky dips will do another dip for it. Or you could ask for vouchers from family so they'd club together. They do it at John Lewis too.

Congrats Blondey!
