The losers club

Awww pikey Holly!

Been out for the day today. Took Maria to the Moomin Museum in Tampere, its a Moomin art museum really, really cool 3D scenes, but she threw a tantrum in the middle of a quiet art museum - way to go Maria!
And she threw another tantrum tonight when I asked her to say goodnight to her dad on skype when she had wanted to play with Timo instead.
And she refused all her meals today except for some fries at Hesburger :dohh: its been a looooong day....

I know I shouldn't, but  at Maria wanting Timo instead of her Dad :haha: Holly's been a little shit today too, is Maria sending telepathic vibes??

Haha bless Maria!

We had an awful day, tried getting OH's car MOT-ed but it failed and we got told it will cost £850 to pass it :( so got £250 worth of stuff done as that's all we could put on the credit card and now we have to try to get it booked in a different garage to see if they'll pass it. We are now beyond skint  and screwed.

Work tomorrow. Yay :(

:hugs: Emmy, that sucks majorly :(

I  'd too Saph! I reckon she must have been sending those vibes to Holly, or the other way round.

Oh Emmy, I'm sending positive vibes to you, your luck needs to change at some point! :(

:haha: at the tantruming psychic vibes! Jen was a good wee girl today, we went to visit SIL in Edinburgh. Was a lovely day, it was open doors weekend so we got into loads of museums for free. Jenny had a ball, only threw 3 tantrums, it's a record! :haha:

Ooo I'd love it if they had an open doors weekend for museums over here - they always cost so much to get into :(

I love museums! Shame they're all crap around here!

Really hoping our luck will change, we've had to pay out vast sums every month since OH got his promotion!

Oh Emmy, that's rubbish! If you take it to a different garage though won't you have to pay for the MOT again? Usually you get a free retest at the original garage.

The science and natural history museums in London are free which is cool. But things like Madam Tussauds, London Dungeons etc are extortionate. Think you're looking at nearly 100quid for a family!! Although Tesco and other places often do 2 for 1.

Just ordered myself a food processor reduced from £130 to £49 and a slow cooker half price at £19.99 and it's a 6L one so think it's mahoooosive! Both from Sainsburys.

Weather here is rubbish!!

AM's a crusty nosed pikey toddler at the mo! She won't let us near her nose, although nursery have said she always gets other kids tissues when they have runny noses! Madam!!

:hugs: Emmy. Cars are a fecking liability! I hadn't had mine long when the timing belt went on a dual carriageway (so we were doing 70), and knackered the engine. It cost just over £1000 to fix, the car was only £2000 :dohh:

Sainos is fab for bargains. I got Holly a coat from there this morning - they're really cheap compared to everywhere else and nice too.

I hate museums, I'm so uncultured :haha: I did go to the art gallery the other week to look at the Annie Lennox exhibition though, does that count?

I don't like museums much either, but you can't dislike the science and nat history museums. They were a staple school trip! OH and I went a few years ago and we were wondering around and I kept reading things to him going 'Did you know......' like I knew what I was talking about!!

I love museums, gonna take Maria to loads. Usually kids under 7 get in free so its just the cost of my ticket I have to worry about for the next few years.

School trips are the reason why I hate museums  Being a Londoner meant you got dragged round them 83 times a year. The Science Museum isn't bad, but I still don't like the Nat Hist museum. The British Museum is even worse  I have the attention span of a gnat, I find them interesting for 10 minutes, then get bored and want to go. DH can take Holly to that stuff, and I'll wait in the cafe and have a nice coffee

Sounds like you've got it all sorted sapphire! ;)
I'm a geek- I love museums. Even the art galleries! I like to cheat and read ahead then inform people like I'm very clever!
In Glasgow most of the museums are free.

We took it to a different garage before and they only found a couple of things wrong which we've paid to be fixed at the garage yesterday so hoping by going to the first one again they'll pass it :haha:

Sold our tv from the bedroom so that's £70 :happydance:

I don't even know what museums are in Aberdeen, apart from the maritime one. Frankly, that sounds even less appealing than York's National Railway Museum

Selling stuff is addictive! I'm an ebay freak, love it! If someone wants to pay £17 for a pair of Holly's shoes I'm very happy :D I like getting good feedback too, I'm such a saddo

I've only ever sold one thing on ebay and they didn't give me feedback :( Although I did sell it for £10 more than I bought it for on ebay!!

Good luck with the car Emmy!

I've never sold anything on eBay!
Tho we did buy a boat... :haha: in Hereford. That was some drive home... :haha: my husband is mental.
I hope things sell well for you Emmy. :hugs:

I love buying things from street markets, especially if I get to haggle. That was one of my favourite things about Russia, all the haggling at the street markets.

No, but I am obsessed with charity shops. I buy most of Holly's toys from there. The other day I got a brand new tub of wooden building blocks for £5. When I looked on the toys r us website, they're worth £15 :smug:

My Mum is coming up today for a week. She let me know the day before yesterday :dohh:
