The losers club

God I think you might move before us Lettuce!! Our solicitors and management company are still faffing around!

Congrats to your OH kageroo!

Going to meet the child minder today. Fingers crossed it works out!! Have my start date, 14th Jan! I have 21st dec - 7th Jan annual leave so don't think I'm going to bother going back just for a week. Make the most of being with AM seeing as I'll hardly see her for 20 weeks  x1000000 :(

Congrats to your OH Kagerou!
Turns out the in-laws can't help watch the kids, his mum said she would've happily done 2 full days but they are only gonna be here 3 months, then off to their house in Portugal, and his dad will still be consulting so he'll be off to various exotic locations...
I totally didn't expect them to help, and his mum said if they were here full time then she would've absolutely loved to and she was saying that even when the kids started school that she would be more than willing to all the picking up from school etc if I wanted to do more hours.
But I told her I absolutely understood, I would never have expected her to change her plans etc etc..
But I've priced childminders, £4.50 per hour per child, they'd be there 10 hours a day so that's £180 per week, and my monthy salary after tax would be £850 so it's not worth it! Surely when you have 2 children it should be a buy in get one free scenario for all childcare?! :)
All the losers are so busy moving house just now, I'm holding off til we win the lottery!

That sucks Michelle. Childcare is so expensive over there!

I wanna go home :( I haven't showered, brushed my teeth or changed my clothes in 3 days. I feel so dirty :(

I just saw your other thread Nats, it's so horrible for you to be going through all this. Is Timo still at his parents or can you get him to at least bring you some clean clothes? If there is a shop in the hospital can a nurse accompany you and Maria down there to get a toothbrush etc?
I'm not saying you need accompanying btw, just probably the best thing to do in this f*cked up situation!

Thanks all :flower:

Good luck with the childminder Blondey!!

Hope everything goes well Natsku, we'll all be thinking of you!

I went to the shop while the nurse looked after Maria and got toothbrushes (Maria hasn't brushed her teeth either :( ) Timo is still at his grandma's though but my friend is coming to visit me and I'm gonna give him the keys to my flat so he can bring me stuff tomorrow if I don't get to go home. Worse thing is that I need to make my living support application for this month as I'm almost out of money but I need to go to the bank for that and get the application from home.

Oh nats, it's just horrific. I hope you get home today.
Yeah Michelle, childcare is crippling, I don't know how they expect people to get back to work without support.
Blondey, our mortgage is nearly through, just need a gift note from mil, (some of our deposit was insurance money from late FIL.) they bank need the updated home report then we can conclude and I can get in to measure up! :happydance:
It'll be hard blondey, but it's for AM's future, for the best. I might increase my hours too. They want the machines to run longer to accommodate more patients, so we would have to work shifts, but silly ones- 8-4:30 or 10-6:30. So not really gaining anything out your day. The other option is I volunteer to do 8-6:30 (called extended day, hours some people already do) and get 3/4 wages instead of the 3/5 I'm on now. I'd be out the house 7:30 til 7 instead of the 7:45 til 6 that I am ATM. But I don't know if it's worth it. We'd need a second car.

Is this the longest loser club as gone without a post...... ??!!

Not much, was at the hospital yesterday for Ts blood test, was bloody awful :( back in Feb for the next lot... Boo....
Its freezing here today, H is napping and T is scoffing raisins watching cbeebies. Malc has a dinner tonight so i really want to go to Tesco and get something fine for my dinner! How you doing Nats? Where are you staying just now?

Poor T :( Must be horrible taking her for her bloods

I'm bloody stressed and worried. My ex isn't answering his phone or letting me talk to Maria on skype, just had to make a child protection report about it.
I'm at home now, Timo is here with me though, his dad is being really nice and letting him take time off work to help me.

Aw that's so good of his dad, must make you feel properly part of the family if that makes sense?! I cant believe he is ignoring you, hasn't he realised that now is the time he needs to be as cooperative as possible?
It really is bad, even getting her weight and length done she screams and shakes uncontrollably.. She saw her nurse in the waiting room just when we got there and ran to Malc crying :( can't wait til we can bribe her with a McDonalds and she understands it all a bit more.

Poor girlie :( It will be easier when she's older and understands why it has to be done.

Yeah his family have really made me feel part of the family. They all went out for Father's Day dinner last sunday and took me alone too :)

They're so angry at my ex and his dad. My dad has even called my ex's dad twice to have a go at him! But they're happy for me and Timo :)

Glad your parents are supportive Nats, and that's lovely of Ts family. :)
Poor wee t and poor you Michelle! What you having for dinner?
I'm sitting with my feet up after 3 washings, making dinner, getting jens haircut and taking her swimming. But I can't wait to have my own house.:(

Ah I bet you're really looking forward to moving in to your house

Hey losers!

I've been slaving away mashing buttons in my new job. Not sure I really like it but if its an earner ill have to stick at it :( I'm exhausted from it now though, had a nap this afternoon after leaving the house at 7 to go to hospital for an MRI. Was scary and uncomfortable :( my hand is so sore after having the cannula in too.

Nats you are so strong, and I'm so pleased you have timo to lean on and help you :)
