So they dont actually know whats wrong with her? That must be awful.

There is a huge long post somewhere in my journal all about my mum but for a brief summary.
She's been ill as long as I can remember, was in a wheelchair for most of my childhood and had an operation to put metal in her spine to hold it together (we later found out she had osteoporosis and osteoarthritis). She started to get more ill over the years and in my teens was diagnosed with a lung disease.
Still there were pains and symptoms which couldn't be diagnosed and then 2 weeks before I had Abigail she was diagnosed with something called fibromyalgia which is basically chronic and persistant pain but it also affects the brain.
In the true style of my mum though that wasn't the end of it. Last year she started blacking out and was taken to hospital where it was found she had heart disease.
And now she had a routine blood test and was found to have low salt in her body. They did some tests and scans etc...(even took her off her medication for a bit to see if that was causing it).
One of the scans showed abnormalities to her liver so she was reffered to yet another consultant who decided to push all these tests through asap. In the last few weeks she has had several different types of tests.
Basically they know there is a problem with her liver but they aren't sure if it is being caused by another problem they haven't picked up on somewhere else in the body. They need to find out what the problem is and whats causing it to know if they can treat it or if she will need a transplant.
With everything else that is going on with her though it's just hard, as just because she has this new problem doesn't mean the other ones go away if you know what I mean.
It would be easier if her husband were able to help but he is waiting for a knee replacement (possibly an amputation) so he can't do much at the moment either.
wow I guess that brief summary turned into a long one. Sorry.
