why do people have to lie?? I mean seriously, some lies I can understand but when it's over pathetic things I just don't get it.
I fell asleep watching the footy last night in bed, I woke up at 2am and Bob wasn't next to me, I turned the TV off and got up for a pee and was about to go downstairs and find out why Bob wasn't in bed when he came up. I asked him why he hadn't been to bed yet as today was supposed to be my lie in day and he would never get up this morning now.
He told me he fell asleep on the sofa and woke up when he heard me go to the loo.
fair enough right??

I get up and go on facebook to find he was taking pictures of himself with the webcam (just normal pictures, not dirty ones) to make his profile picture and they were dated as today but with no time.
So I went on to the history to find that he was still using the computer up until the minute I woke up.

I know it sounds petty but why did he feel the need to lie?? why couldn't he have just said that he was awake on the pc? yeah ok so I may have been a little upset at his lack of consideration but not as upset as I am that he lied over something so trivial.

do you think my pregnancy hormones have blown this way out of proportion? it's not that he stayed up that bothers me, it's just that he lied when there was no need for it.
 
i think your preggo hormones are making it a wee bit worse, but the lying is annoying - maybe he just thought he'd get in less "trouble" if he fell asleep... men eh?
 
yes but this isn't the first time this has happened either and I have asked him before to please not lie to me over stupid things. I've always had huge trust issues and the silly little lies always get to me and make me think he might be lying about bigger things.

I am probably too honest with him, I tell him literally everything even if I know it might hurt him because I would rather he hear the truth from me and not someone else.
Maybe thats the wrong way to be but being lied too and being patronised are the 2 things that I just can't stand.
 
agreed! have you told him you know he lied? i really doubt he's been up to anything worse, you saw that he was trying to make a pretty profile picture for FB, maybe it just took him a lil longer than he hoped - BUT let me add if at 2.30 am, I got up to find kam on the pc... i know for a fact it wouldnt be FB, but porn. lol
 
awww ley :hugs: Men eh. I guess he did it so that he wouldnt annoy you about him going to bed late. Adam would probably do something like that so i wouldnt 'moan' at him. It is annoying and you have a right to be annoyed esp as he knew it was your lye in day!! sometimes they just dont think!!
 
He's still asleep, thats what is bugging me the most I think. I've been rushed of my feet lately and I'm absolutely exhausted. I let him lie in every single day until gone 10am where as I get up with the kids at 7.
I asked for 1 lie in and he couldn't do that for me and had to lie about it.
just winds me up. Sometimes I think I married a schoolboy instead of a man.
