fluffy (I'm sticking with fluffy.. lol) I'd be annoyed too - is there a reason he wants to wait that long, or was it just an off the cuff comment?
 
I don't think there's a reason, no. T'other day we were sat in the car outside Sainsbury's eating our lunch (like all the cool kids do) and he said "I think I'm ready for babies now." so we had a lickle chat about it and he said he's ready emotionally, and the only things he wants to achieve before that, he's already half way through at the moment (work stuff, cycling, karate, projects, etc.). We also talk about our wedding all the time and he's all excited about it, so I don't know why he'd put it off :(
 
defo be worth asking why - if you two are set on not having bubs until after the wedding, just let him know you're ready for a baby... only thing is the wedding... so umm... why so long? etc
 
yeah i agree with mush - you should ask about why he has all of a sudden decided to wait for the wedding??
 
Yeah I think I will ask him. I was so peed off and tired last night I thought I'd say something I'd regret, so I just rolled over and went to sleep :P So I'll talk to him about it later. You might be right LH, he might be doing it to throw me off the scent, but what if he's not? :(

thats what were here for. He cant have just changed his mind, have a little talk to him nd just find out why he said that. You know what there like - sometimes they just say things without thinking lol.

Wow I miss so much just by getting up late!

Fuffs. I really can't see u waiting that long. I mean think of when he wanted to throw u off the scent with the anniversary thing.... He's telling u voluntarily that he's ready for babies, maybe he's just not thought the whole scenario through. Had the same with matt- he was dead set on waiting until after the wedding. Then during one conversation he realised that it just didn't work, we r both ready for a baby, but we really aren't ready to get married, too much planning etc. So It was pretty much automatic once he had it sorted in his own head. And now look at us.. "If I get a 2:1 we can ttc..."!!
So. Maybe he's throwing u off the scent
Maybe he's just having a weird day
But I really can't see it being that long before babies, married or not, it just doesn't make sense the way he talks about it with u. U should be a bit pushier.... :p

I am annoyed with my OH he promised me an engagement ring... not last xmas the one before! If he doesnt propose for my birthday in June I am actually going to go mental. Sick of waiting. Its gonna have to happen eventually. He also doesnt realise organising a wedding would take my mind of babys!!

Dawwwwwww!! You guys are so cute.... And now I'm nearly crying again!! :rofl: I hate being this emotional :P

He keeps going on about how expensive it's going to be, but I've just seen that thread over in WTT about how much a baby really costs, and I was inspired to make a list of monthly expenditures! Turns out it's only about £50-£60 a month, tops. That's including £30-£40 worth of clothes and toys, which I probably won't even have to buy because my mum is far too excited about having more grandchildren :haha:

So maybe when I casually drop in to conversation one day how little it will cost he'll be a little happier about it XD

My lordy I agree, if he doesn't get you a sparkler for your boofday throw a paddy until he DOES get you one! :thumbup: hahahaha maybe I'm a bit spoilt, I wonder why my OH doesn't wanna propose to me?! :rofl:

Why don't they realise if they proposed they wouldn't have to hear about babies so much?! Silly boys :P

Babys arent that expensive! Its when they get older they cost a fortune.

I am planning on family buying us a whole lot of stuff! It will be 1st grandchild on both sides of the family!! 1st greatgrandchild aswell I think!

Becca do u think he's planning it for ur birthday? A year and a half, lol I'd be going mental after one being promised! :p
Fuffs just save a tiny bit at a time :) £20 a week really does build up quickly :) and once the main stuff is out of the way during pregnancy it really isn't that much :)xxxx
 
Lucky you!! It'll be the first grandchild on Samuel's side, and the 4th on my side (if my sister ever has this baby, that is! I'm so excited!!!) :D
 
I dunno maybe hes trying to throw me off the scent. He has got quite a bit more money than usual in his bank account, he usually spends it every pay day but there was £600 in last time I checked!!

I told him I am gonna be disapointed if I get a crap b'day pressie. We are away at centre parcs for it aswell with all my family so it would be a nice setting to do it in.

Awwww I really hope he does propose for you birthday! It certainly sounds as if he might doesn't it? :D When is June is your birthday?

OH says he's getting me something really amazing for mine, but I've told him not to propose til we've moved out so I know it's not a ring :(
 
June the 15th, we are away from the 14th till the 18th. Hoping to get lots of spa time. If I am not pregnant that is!!

He could just be saving money to buy me some nice floor for when we move.
