Yay brand new group . I tell you it was hard to find a link about NFP for the US which was not overly religious. as I have heard on a different board apparently in the US it is mainly religious people who do it .

Anyway for how long have you been nfping?

I was doing it before I had Kaya, so about 4 years. I think that most women that use NFP are doing it for religious reasons, but for me it's because I turn into a bitch from hell if I use hormonal contraception lol. How about you?

I do it just for observation at the moment I had a copper IUD (gynefix) but I have taken it out in July. so until I go to TTC I'll be NFP . the ones I have seen on the german board all do it for health reasons too, they are more the anti-hormons lobby in germany nobody does it for religious reasons there. I also looked at the aussie site which is supported by the cleric there , but it is mostly marketed for health reasons too.

I never tried hormones in the first place I only met my OH late(when I was 22y and before I never had any sexual relationships )so I had the gynefix from then.

I noted my af for over half a year on ff, but I only started temping this months this is why I am still unpatient to see me full chart so far the temperature doesn't make any attempts moving to a higher level but maybe that still takes some days . anyway I use the online chart here:https://www.mynfp.de/display/view/159927/

Do you monitor your CM as well? I find this is a good way of knowing when to stop having unprotected sex. I used to use the Persona machine and found it great, but you can't use it while breastfeeding so I'm having to chart (not easy with wee kids) and monitor CM.

Yeah I monitor Cm and cervix as well . not that the cm has been a lot different recently. Apart from yesterday it wasn just watery .Yesterday it was a bit stretchy later in the day so I'll see whats in today.(nothing much in the morning but a few small cm clots)

I am day 21 now and usually have a an average of 33 days cycle.(32-35) now during the afternoon it has become a bit more strechy again though.

As i say everybody is welcome here , If you do it you do it , whether you use barrier methods at your fertile time or not does not matter .

To get to know my body better since i used to be on the pill and i just wanna know what my body is doing. I find it fascinating really how you can pinpoint fertility/ovulation, etc.

Do you not get fed up of condoms? I hate them and only use them when I really need to, I find them a total mood killer.

of course but there is no way around them. My cycles are nowhere near regular yet and my DH wants to be extra careful for his own peace of mind It's only 9 more months. I will survive

Gah, I get really frustrated during my fertile periods coz I get quite horny, yet OH works away. Sorry, just a mini rant lol
