I always get the oddest looks when people ask me "what do you want to have?" and I answer just a healthy baby!! They always seem to think i prefer one over the other. They always say seriously which one do you want more? I always get irritated because I really don't care, I really want a healthy baby, some parents aren't blessed with a healthy baby. Does anyone else have this problem??

I had this problem before I found it. They always assumed I wanted a little girl because I'm female I automatically have to want a baby girl. But then when I said I didn't want to know if t had down syndrome they were all shocked as if it made any difference on how I felt about my baby. x

Ya they automatically think i want a girl. I just want it healthy. My OH doesn't care either. But it annoys me with their expressions and stuff. I can't wait to find out so I can just say what i'm having, and maybe i won't be so annoyed with their expressions!!

I wish you luck :). And I hope you do have your healthy baby :D x

That's the best way to think anyways. People just probably are trying to socialize and what they say doesn't always come out so logical or intelligently. I think most people express what you have; why they look odd at you I have no idea.

when people asked me i always said 'i don't mind, i would like a girl because i am used to boys (all my friends have had boys) but i have always wanted a boy' they usually accepted that.. then would ask about names. they always seem so nosey!

when people ask what i want to have, i used to say a quick labor then change the subject xD

yeah i had this alot before i found out... also i wasn't planning on finding out the sex up until like a week before my 20 week scan!

its a right pain in the bum but people just dont understand that gender isnt as important as healthiness x

rjb: thats a good idea, damnn wish i thought of saying that!
