This cycle I am trying IUI for the first time, and I am finding the wait from CD1 to ovulation just as bad as the post-ov 2WW!! Seriously, time is creeping.
I have an appointment to go in CD12 to check my follicles. If I'm ready, we'll do the trigger shot, followed by IUI 24 and 48 hours after.
I am anxious because I don't know if I will surge early or not. I've started OPKs to monitor it.
There is also the matter of DH. He is supposed to ejaculate 2-3 days prior to the IUI, then refrain until the IUI. Not knowing when it will be makes that difficult. I could surge before CD12 and have to do the IUI early. Or I could have undersized follicles on CD12 and have to wait a few days. Who knows?
I don't really know how it all works, since this is my first one.
