Today my magical meitai not only enabled my overtired 5 month old to finally nap, but I also hung out the washing and mowed both the front and back lawns whilst she slept!!!

What has your magical baby carrier enabled you to do...? :flower:

Gosh, a million things!

Walk around crowded ancient tourist areas without a care for stairs or bumping people
Put a screaming baby to sleep 50,000 times
Carry 50lbs worth of groceries with my baby attached
Cook dinner with a toddler on my back and no worrying about his safety

Most importantly

Bonding! It really helped us bond after a very traumatic labour.

Today-

Mop the downstairs floors
Hang out the washing

Most days it enables us to get out of the house in a hurry and go to the shops to get dinner. He loves being worn and watching the world and always has! Cant even remember the last time we used the buggy!

-Nursing with LO in mei tai is just awesome..
-Being able to go up steps instead of a ramp/elevator

Its also prevents me from pushing the pram half way to my destination, only for LO to scream for me, and me having to carry her with one arm, while pushing the pram with the other and developing huge popeye-esque biceps.

Walked to the park today with ds on front and then did laundry with ds on back.

I love babywearing. Thanks to my ergo I managed to:
- go for cliff walks with Isla on my back
- cook meals and deal with my fussy toddler
- do house work and put her to sleep at the same time
- take her places that are inaccessible for a buggy

I want to try a back carry but think I'll wait til she's bit older...!

I wish I'd babyworn more with my first!

Get on the dreaded bus without having to worry about fitting a pushchair on and not having to get in a lift, I get serious lift rage when people misuse the lifts!

Yes! Main appeal of baby wearing was the lack of bus space for pushchairs, and I too can't stand lift abusers. Two women today tried to push past me and my friend (she has a pushchair) to reach the lifts first. Grr!

Old women are usually the worse with their trolleys! surely that trolley thing can go an an escolator? :grr:

Hehe...today my meitai bought me an hour and a half of complete peace to shop and browse...one new skirt and top later and I'm a happy bunny :haha:

today = yet another day i LOVE my meitai...it's actually saved my sanity i swear!

i have to be careful as keep stretching the tummy of my tops when i put it on as have to tug them back down after they're ridden up when putting the carrier on but to me thats a small price to pay for sanity

Being able to use stairs, put out washing, get her to sleep while running errands, take her on looooong walks, carry loads of bags, go shopping without having to manouver a huge buggy around, use buses without having to worry about buggy space...i was terrified of using a buggy up until a few months ago! My Ergo has been the best baby purchase I made!

Oh and I go to London on my own with her often and it makes travelling on the train sooo much easier. How the hell would someone deal with a buggy AND a suitcase?! And when she gets tired on the train journey I just pop her in the Ergo, go stand by the window until she falls asleep then have two hands free to read!
