The Pregnancy Mask!

I just looked in the mirror (something I tend to avoid these days lol) and noticed I have what my mum calls 'the mask' haha, it wasnt there yesterday but this morning I have what looks like brown lip liner on!

Has anyone else got this? xx

I've heard of that too! I haven't got it, but am starting to get a bit darker on my tummy... do you have that line too? x

I havent got the line, which is strange cos I got it when pregnant with DS! I think the tummy line shows up better in darker skinned people cos Im really pale, my sister got a really noticeable line and she is darker than me! x

No its just like a change in your pigment in your skin, I look like I have drawn brown lipliner on my top lip lol, its also known as Chloasma (sp) xx

Ive got the line on my tummy, but only below my belly button, I have a dark line around where my belly button outline use to be too.. Ive noticed that I have a dark line around my nipples, but haven't noticed on my face yet?!

Ive never heard of he pregnancy mask until now!

I have the mask too!!!

I've got a brown line on my upper lip - I don't mind that one, gives my lip a bit of definition

But I have 2 brown patches under my eyes (one under each eye). One was from DD2 that never went away, and now I have another - really hope I'm noy stuck with that one too.

I look like I've had an accident with a pot of foundation.

i havent a clue but today i woke up with about a milllllllllllion freckles and it hasnt snned in belfast for weeks plus i have been in hosp all week! is that it?

I have the 'pregnancy mask' too. However, mine isn't from pregnancy as I've had it since 2001 (may have been the pill but not sure) and it has never gone away . It hasn't got any worse in pregnancy though and I haven't got the tummy line either. I have the 'lip liner' effect as well as big patches on my forehead and cheeks.

Wow, I've never heard of this, but coincidentally yesterday I stupidly didn't have any suncream on and ended up with one pink cheek...That went down but now I have like a brown smudge on the top of my cheek under my eye...I guess this could be pregnancy mask?? God I hope it goes away!

I also have loads of freckles haha, I have one right in the middle of my bottom lip which i definitely didnt have before!!

Yes - that sounds like mine that are under my eyes/top of cheeks. Mine from DD2 (4 years ago) does fade, but shows up more when I've been in the sun

My boobs look kind of tan, I wonder if that's what that is. My face is fine though.

Arh at last someone else..

last year with my first it was terrible, had it all summer, i was as brown as a berry from sunbathing which of course made it worse, it really looked like i completely buggered up the fake tan above my top lip, forehead and just below my eyebrows!!!!!!!!

everyone used to go on about it, got it this time above my top lip but nowhere near as bad, probably because i have not been in the sun as much.
It did go after my first though, cos i was told that it may never go..but it did thank god! lol

Hahaha Mine is actually a little bit worse today, my freckles seem to be joining up into big dark patches on my face... my cousin still swears its a sign of imminent labour lol... I dont think so! x

yeah mine makes my forehead always look dirty.. guess i never chalked it up to the pregnancy mask.. just figured i was gonna be a bit more freckly this year
