is I don't get to see my mom :( We haven't spent Christmas together in 10 years. I haven't seen her since Amanda's birth.

One must understand that she is on disability and is sick a lot so therefore cannot afford to come or is not well. Another thing, I learned a long time ago that it would cause a riff if I ever left Dan on his own at Christmas. Sad, but he has grown up since then. Then later it became that we had babies, etc.

Before I had Chase he had offered to pay for my mom to come here. She couldn't make it. I talked to her last week and she wants to come out next summer with a little boy who is now 13 that she's pretty much brought up.........yet I am trying to push her for Christmas. I know it won't happen. :(

I told her if she waited until next summer, Chase will not be a baby anymore.

:( I'd be really sad if I couldn't see my mom at Christmas too

Awwww :hugs: this really made me cry, I have a mother thats lives 2 minutes down the road and this will be the second Christmas the kids havent seen her, or get presents. Some more  for you. xx

Ironically, it's an hour and 1/2 plane ride, and a 12 hour drive.

It's not that far. But life got and gets in the way.

She's got a little boy who she pretty much brought up and he and she spend Christmas together. I thank God that she has him! His mother is a rotten mother!

It would be so much easier if she could come here but her health gets in that way too.

She's seen Amanda at birth and was a god send to me when she stayed that month. She's never seen Jayden nor Chase. :(

Aww hun what a sad situation. Is there anywhere to meet halfway? even just for a mini weekend or something before xmas?
My mum lives on a bus, train, ferry, ferry, bus ride away but it takes about 2 hours so i dont get over as much as i like and she has disability probs so not easy for her to travel so she has only seen Tabs about 4 times. But im moving up the road from her on the 1st DEC!! YAY :happydance:
My big Sis who brought me up also lives in Switzerland so has only seen Tabs once but is coming again next week ! :happydance:

Then there is the monster(MIL....now ex-MIL YAY) who lives literally 20 yards away across the road who has never laid eyes on Tabs! (angry face-too lazy to look for it)

I know this doesnt help but sending you lots of hugs although not the mummy hugs you need :hugs:

How pathetic! :(

Can't you meet half way or take all the family to see her. My MIL lives 12 hours away or an hours plane flight, but we still manage to either go up there or she come to us or we meet half way. I don't know your full circumstances but i'd make sure i got to see her not matter what, even more so if my mum lived that far away. Luckily my mum is only 35 mins down the road.

I know it is very hard when Mom is not healthy. I am lucky enough to have my Mom alive and she lives a few miles away. But, her health is in decline and expect I have a handful of holidays with her. :(

((((BIG HUGS)))))

:( :hugs: Sorry to hear that. I didn't see my dad at christmas (or ever) for about 5 years running, and this year we are going to his house christmas day and new years eve.. I hope you work something out :hugs:

Thats so sad....I'm so sorry Lee-Anne,I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for her to come this Christmas.
