Unfortunately i have no car haha and seeing as im a student dont think i could keep up with maintaining a car by myself but me and my brother are in talks of going halfers on a car to share (he works nights so he would get it at night and me in the day so its perfect) and then we would both pay insurance and he would fix any problems etc
Thanks m.f congrats to you too! I havent been on this thread in a while!
On the day I was more nervous than ever but told myself "hold it together, dont cry you havent even failed yet" and for some reason it helped a LOT!

Lula! I was thinking like you as well, im never gonna pass and everyone else will and then i did I also just told myself okay, you have already failed right at the begining because for some reason everytime i failed my test thats when my driving became pass worthy :/ haha and until i fucked up n failed the first 3 i was like "okay i wonder when i will fail this time" haha...im such an optimist

BUT you will pass and you aren't a troll
And my friend Kelly (BF) failed her test fourth time 2 weeks ago she hasnt had a lesson since but is going to rebook it in the new year, she is thinking "new year, clean slate"

Lula! 2012 is your year And you wont believe this but, know how i am super stressed and anxious on the test like pretty much everyone else on this thread was? I went in with no kalms or anything and although i felt nervous i was hopeful! Just keep reminding yourself that you can do it I will keep stalking this thread! This driving test is probably the most challenging thing (to my mental and physical health - i know it sounds drastic) that I have ever chosen to do! I wasn't sleeping properly because of it and couldn't stop crying but when its over its amazing and i'm glad i didnt chose to quit when i failed for the third time! Goood luck!

Just had a fantastic pre-test lesson. Apart from turning too soon when I should have let a car go past first, my instructor would only have given me 3 minors for the lesson.

I'm feeling so much more confident and this is probably the best pre-test lesson I've ever had. In others I've screwed up or my driving has been a complete mess.

Here's hoping that a fab lesson will make for a fab test and that I pass on Monday!

I have found a lot of my driving now has become second nature, it's quite cool. My driving instructor said that since my 3rd test my driving has come on in leaps and bounds and I'm beyond ready. That's encouragement and a half

Hoping beyond hope that Monday will be my turn. It just has to be! SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

I have been wondering how you were getting on, remember to not rush things. I was pretty slow in my test and speak to yourself in your head if that makes sense, one thing at a time. I know you can do it xx

I'm definitely feeling a lot more confident MF, compared to previous times.

Given that I've had no practice at all since my last test because my car is out of action at the moment, I was really pleased I was able to get in the car and just pretty much drive today. With the extra time on Monday before the test, I really really really hope I'll have it nailed.

I feel like I can do it now, which is good. I'm going to take the rescue spray though, just to keep myself calm.

I went out with my mum today in her car which im insured on now it was great, love how its automatic - going to get insured on alans or my brothers next month so i dont forget manual though was great just braking and that instead of changing gear constantly but cant wait to get my own wee car x

How did everybody broach the subject of putting in for their test with their instructor? Apparently there's a six week waiting list here and I'm having two hour lessons a week. I want to just say to my instructor "as it's such a long waiting list when do you think I should put in for my test?" is this been a bit presumptuous? With this instructor I've so far had thirteen hours but I had a LOT with previous instructors and I've passed my theory. Trouble is I guess I have quite a bit of work to do on my manoeuvres but if I have a test date this would probably encourage me because I do so much better at anything under pressure.

I'm wary of instructors to be honest because I had three in the past that just took my money and I made virtually no progress. I feel better about this instructor but I really don't want to just be somebody's income, if I'm ready I'd like to know so I can put in for my test.

My instructor suggested I put in for my test so I did and got a cancellation so only had to wait 3 weeks xx If you feel you are ready then just go for it and tell him after you booked it x
