I've still not been out in my car. Stupid thing is broken and I think it's going to have to be sold. Just want to get out and drive! It's so annoying.

I went out on my own for the first time on friday so one week after passing me and OH now share the car Yeah mines came on thursday I couldn't stop looking at it! Nice and pink! was like when i got that blue sheet of paper The novelty hasn't worn off one bit yet I still get a rush of excitement when I remember I have passed!!

Ahhh I went out in OHs car today and I was rubbish lol.
I'm so used to the clio that his huge scenic felt massive and the pedals are all really heavy.
I stalled 3x at the same set of lights and missed two green lights oh was burying his head in his coat in shame lol.
Had to reverse out my drive onto a busy main road as well which took me 20minutes lol.
Better get used to it though!

You will get used to it, I hated my car at first as all was different. Now I am used to it, took about a week x

Hi I've been reading through this thread and getting nervous! I have my driving test in 8 days and I'm 33 weeks pregnant :/ I've been told to expect to fail as examiners don't like pregnant women so I'm wondering whether to put it off for a bit?

Any tips?

They cant just fail you for no reason hun. They have a form and they cant just say pregnant = fail lol dont listen to Myths xx Are you taking your driving instructor with you? x

Today was okay driving was good then i got there, clipped the curb when parking so i decided to reverse and get away from curb a bit, everytime i went into reverse and tried to move it stalled, turned out i put it in 4th because the gearbox is soooo stiff haha stalled at a junction but no one was there so it was fine Another student i gave a liuft home said i was very confident ... i was like "Whhhhaaaaa?"

Don't be nervous! they cant fail you for being pregnant just don't stress about it

My OH has just made me feel like shit I could cry.
Went out in the car again and he got frustrated with me when trying to reverse out of the driveway onto the main road. Kept telling me I'm making things more difficult etc.
Then driving in a 30mph zone he asks me "what the fuck am I doing?" cause I'm driving around 27mph (there was a police car so I was being extra cautious) he got me all out of sorts and I literally just wanted to stop the car and get out. I asked him what speed limit the road I was on was to double check and he said "your the one who's just passed her test and apparently knows everything". He basically argued with me sll the way there
I made him drive home, he's quitting smoking so he's snappier than usual but he doesn't understand that I'm nervous in that car, especially with my daughter in it, and the way he's acting is making me feel 10x worse!

Maybe my mum and OH is also related in some way! Don't worry all family members and close people to you are like this! His nicotine quit must make it a bit worse than what i've experienced though, my OH has a fag before and after the car ride personally i don't get the addiction i dont smoke though so i guess i need to be more paradigm haha x

My OH pissed me off today, he put the car into first gear before i started the engine so whenever i tried to put the engine on it would stall, i was like whats wrong with the car, he was like "I put it in first for you" I was like WTF?! Why when i didnt have the clutch down and he was like "its how i do it, put it to first with clutch down and then i start the engine"...i almost killed him! Not to mention he put dipped lights on and i didnt notice so I then turned the thing to put on dipped which switched it to either fog or full beaam I was like...if i'm driving dont touch everything without telling me!!! He was like "you do it when i drive" ...yeah when you forget to go to first at lights and you try move off in 3rd!! MEN! Think they just like to have control!

I drive automatic so I know nothing about gears lol (I still managed to stall it once though hahaha) My OH just moans I brake to late blah blah blah x

Oh god! i could kill OH right now, he never taught me anything about the car because he said it would just "come to me with experience" .. he failed to tell me that sometimes if the wheel locks you have tto turn it for the engine to start so i put the interior light on trying to figure out why the key wouldnt turn anyway i forgot i turned it on so didnt turn it off...drove to bus station to drop a friend off then drove back...with the light on ... i passed 2 police cars but they didn't stop me but im freaking out like what if they took my licence plate number, OH said he doubted it but i'm still freaked! I honestly didn't notice it and i am so pissed at my OH .. feel like he is using me sometimes, like i have put 30 pound petrol in the car since i got insure (not even 5 days ago) and i have only drove it like 5 times for 15 minutes or something (IF that) ... and now since he drove to college which is 2 towns away he is saying he needs more petrol money i'm so mad at him right now i can barely breathe!

Hun. they would have pulled you over if they had a prob xx they wont get back to you for that hun, its only speeding and parking tickets they would let you know AFTER.

And dont worry because I drove nearly a mile in THE DARK with no lights on when I passed. Awful!! x
