huge hugs glitter my oh reacts to bites hes covered in them its awful! has the doctor given you anything to help it? xx

ohh glitter, cant they give you anti histamines or something :nope:

sounds disgusting but can you pop it  at all to drain the poison out? or is it just fluid? xx

It's like a big pocket of fluid so my foot is really swollen,it's ever so heavy and takes up almost the whole top of my foot.
I have antihistamines and antibiotics and because i've reacted badly (although not as bad as this) to insect bites before he's given me antihistamines to take everytime i feel or see that i've been bitten.
Got to keep it elevated and put ice packs on it too.

hope you feel better soon! xx

my lo dains 8oz bottles 5 to 6 times a day and still wants more he drained 9oz before bed hes only 13 weeks weighs about 19lb so was wondering weather to try hugry baby milk as the hv said to wean him at 17 weeks??

 hello everyone !!!!

im having a better day today!
i think baby will arrive soon... perhaps its wishful thinking but things are definately changing & feel different :)

AND i just won a nappy on ebay for more than £5 less because i did a best offer thing and she accepted it :happydance: so i just saved myself about £5.50 on the RRP :happydance:

i was telling the girls at work today about reusable nappies and they seem supportive and happy for me... not looking at me like im crazy :cloud9: so they like the fluff too :) i was so pleased as i thought id have to hide him away in his lovely fluff so people didnt think we were weird
ahhhhh simple things.

how have all of your days been? :flower: xxx

I'v been told today that I'm going to be early. I was like no he can stay in there until end of August! OH's daughter's birthday is 2nd of August, be my luck he does come early and on that day!! :/

The side that had the music on today, have some cheek doing so, when my mum lived here a few year's ago, my other neighbour had music blaring out, and we got the blame just because we was sat outside. Gave us a right mouthful :(
They also have a car parked slightly over our drive atm, so I have ot be dead careful reversing off our drive :(

The neighbours with the barking dog's, used to have music playing at time's like 1am, and we ended up complaining about them to environmental health. Now we have to put up with there sodding car alarm going off at daft time's on it's own! And them shouting and arguing with each other or telling the dog's off like now....can hear every word :(

Ouch that sounds nasty glitter.

Soph we were told just to let Oliver have little tastes of purees and stuff. But he is ready to eat food. we gave him baby rice and he swallowed it. But im going to try and put it off for a little while longer.

And hayley thats the type of autism my little brother has. But he doesnt have ADHD he is just very quiet, doesnt really go out and is too clever for his own good lol!

Soph - I started weaning my lo at 15 weeks. He was a big boy at birth, and my hv advised to put him on hungry baby milk at 4 weeks as milk wasnt satisfying him. It helped a little, but he has still been taking between 40-45oz per day for weeks. My hv has always said that he will need to be weaned at 17 weeks, but i started him a couple of weeks early on a small amount of porridge in the mornings to see how he got on. He loved it, and cant get enough lol. Has also helped with his reflux. I now give him porridge in the mornings and a little bit of homemade veg puree for dinner. Hes on the 99th centile for height and weight (19lb10 at 16 weeks), so a big boy so i expected that he would need something extra to fill him up a bit x

I weaned at 17 weeks due to reflux.

I didn't use hungry baby or anything (well, I can't because her milk is precription).

Lola loves her solids and has started insisting she feeds herself with the spoon (which is why she's in such a mess on my new FB pics :D)

thanks i think ill put him on hungry baby tomorrow and see how he goes hes onky 13 weeks so hopefully that will him as he weighs 19lb now! x

I tried hungry baby milk with Oliver it made him constipated. :(

But he seems to be having a little less milk now that he was before. (still on normal stage 1 cow and gate)

If he is 13 weeks it could be his 12ish week growth spurt xx

girls, all this talk of milk is confusing me:(
how will i know if bub needs hungry baby milk?
im so lost and confused
x

Emma he is so ADORABLE!!

Soph - wow he is a big boy, Lola is only about 15lb  you need to show us his updated pic. And is Issy his name or is it short for something? Sorry for being nosy :flower:

Hayley - you'll be fine don't worry. I became a bit of an expert on milk after trying every different one and now she's on lactose fre on prescription :D your HV will help you. Are you planning to FF? (no judgements here :winkwink:) I agree with Emma, I wouldn't use SMA. I did and wish I hadn't! Although my paediatrician said its the closest to breastmilk - I don't believe him!!

(No offence to SMA users - some babies are fine on it )

Jen - will PM you my FB details :D

xxx

issys short his real name is ismaeel! its out of moby dick but we changed the spelling! hes mixed race so it was hard to find something we both agreeded on!

ill add some pictures of him later!

we use hipp organic milk and hes been fab on it! x

Awww Emma your Finley is gorgeuos!!!! Suzanne ive messaged you hun with my details, i changed my settings for a bit on there

Hayley i agree you will be fine chick. I have to say about SMA too, it made Lewis constipated (my second son in 2008). I put him on aptamil and he was fine, it was much better from then on. Ive put finley straight onto aptamil 1 and had no probs. Its expensive though!!!

but thats my babies, sma might be fine for you :) :) my hv annoyed me yesterday when i said i might put Fin on hungry baby aptamil in a few more weeks, well, when hes around 12 weeks, if he keeps up what hes doing as hes so hungry at the mo. and she said "oh no dont do that it just lines their tummies keep him on the first milk" and i thought hang on a min...hes my baby lol.

Hope your all ok girlies and enjoying the weather. And omg 33.c on saturday!!! thats what it said on gmtv this morning!!! me thinks thats a bit too hot with a teeny baby :( dreading it to be honest if it is gonna be that hot

Jen xxx
