Sorry I cant be of any help. I have had 2 m/c this year. Have had blood tests which have ruled out clotting, thyroid, diabetes, family history, etc. If something had come back positive, that would have been a step forward.

Am reading a book at the mo about possible causes of miscarriage. Is your ailment to do with clotting or the immune system?

Might be worth googling?

Hang in there. I am taking fragmin for the second time, I have started it earlier this time in hope for a positive outcome.

I am almost 5 weeks pregnant and started taking fragmin needles last week. I was diagnosed with antiphospholipid antibodies after suffering 4 early consecutive miscarriages (blood clotting). I have a 3 year old son and had a completely normal pregnancy with him (he was even born on my due date) so I was very confused and upset after trying to have another child and having so many miscarriages. This is when I went in for tests and they discovered that I tested positive for antiphospholipid anitbodies. They said that I must have developed these antibodies after having my son-they don't really know how these antibodies develop?? The Dr's couldn't give me an answer.

I am also taking baby aspirin once a day as well as the fragmin needles for my entire pregnancy. I will most likely take the baby aspirin for the rest of my life seeing that I obviously have blood clotting problems.

The fragmin needles have been hard to adjust to.....waking up every morning and injecting them in my stomach, but after hearing about several other women doing the same thing, apparently it becomes routine and I will hopefully eventually get used to it. At 20 weeks pregnant I will be administering 2 needles a day-I think that is when I'll be injecting Heparin?? Not sure yet-just trying to take it one day/needle at a time........

I wish you all the luck-I'm certainly hoping that everything works out for both of us!!
