I'll be surprised if you guys even remember me i've been abcent for so long
Just got back from our 10 hour trip each way for our appointment and i'm SUPER excited!!!
So on Friday, we met with our new specialist, who DH and I REALLY, REALLY liked. He seems such a lovely man, very approachable, thorough, doesn't try and rush you out of the office or get annoyed with questions like our last FS. So yes, so pleased and feel 110% happy to be in his hands.
So..................then DH did the sperm sample, I don't know if its like this with other clinics, but the 'room' where he had to do the sample in was bloody luxurious!!!! Big comfy lounge, bean bags, TV with porn, porno mags, a mini fridge with beer, coke and other beverages and it was soundproof. I told DH he should've knocked the drinks off and gotten our $475 worth
Then we met with one of the nurses and the financial lady.
Sooooooooooo...phone appt with FS Wednesday week which will tell us if we'll be doing ICSI or regular IVF. He and us are hoping that most of the sperm aren't actually damaged.
In the meantime, i'm loaded with scripts to get myself started https://thebabyvoid.net/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif I told him my period has been really long since surgery and that no, not preg etc so he's given my a script for something to induce my period if I don't want to wait for it, then the pill, then get the lucrin and they'll tell me when to start shots, then they'll send me the FSH etc.
So after i've been on the pill for at least 23 days I could be starting the lucrin shots then.
I'm SO frigging excited that things are finally happening!!! I'm shitting myself at the same time but mostly jumping out of my skin with excitement!
So we then got the $$$ talk and for 1 fully stimulated cycle, including bloods, u/s, shots and the full process bascially (excluding pill and lucrin) its $9,000 or a few $$ under, but yes, close enough to that. But extra for ICSI, freezing eggs etc. But we apparently get a good $4-5,000 back on medicare.
So thats my news, really excited and so damn ready for this
