Things happen...

I've posted this in the Miscarriage forum, but I think there is also comfort to be taken by those trying to conceive after a loss.

I'd like to share these words that a friend of mine wrote for me upon hearing about my miscarriage this week:


Things happen in life that we can't explain.

Things happen that have no rhyme or reason.

Things happen and you think, 'Why Me?'.

Things happen and sometimes you can say, 'Worse things have happened'.

Things happen and you know that no worse thing could happen.

But whatever happens, you have to always look onward.

Whatever happens, you have to remember the good things.

Whatever happens, you have to know that some good, some little shoot of green will appear, and things will, for a bit, seem brighter.

So true! There is a ray of light at the end of the tunnel for all of us. It takes longer for some, but we all get there eventually.
