Hey everyone,

I'm going for my 12 week scan on Thursday and I've been looking for my notes that I was given before my booking in appointment and that we went through and filled in during my appointment, and I can't find them anywhere!! Both me and my boyfriend have searched everywhere. Now I've got to the point where I don't even remember if I'm meant to have them or if the midwife / hospital keeps hold of them...?? But I don't think this is the case.. I've been trying to get hold of the antenatal department of the hospital all day but no luck - was just ringing out! Pretty annoying..

Does anyone else know what the normal protocol is?? Like, do you always take your notes home with you? And has anyone ever lost them, and if so what happens then!? I'm stressed :nope:

Where abouts are you? (Im on my mobile so doesn't show up!) I'm in North West UK and was given a green a4 booklet that contains all my pregnancy notes for this pregnancy at my booking in appointment. I keep hold of these and have to take to every hospital or midwife appointment. In different areas they can have different versions of this - my sister in Yorkshire was given a clear/white ring binder for all hers. Maybe keep trying to get hold of your midwife who did your booking in appointment and see whether they kept them or gave them to you to keep hold of. If your in the US I'm afraid I don't have a clue!

I had to give mine to the midwife at my booking appointment and she said they would give them back to me at my 12 week scan. I'm not sure if that is the same everywhere, but hopefully that is the case for you!

I'm in Manchester! I just managed to get hold of the hospital, they said they normally keep hold of them... Phew! Now I can properly look forward to my scan! :)

phew! here we keep them at all times and have to collect them after scan etc

That's odd, wonder ehy they keep them. Mine are in the clear ring bind folder mentioned above and we keep them.
