anyone have an IUD?

I'm thinking of getting the copper iud - a friend just got the hormonal iud and has had some problems. She is thinking of getting it removed.

Tell me the good, the bad, and the ugly.
I have my appointment on Tuesday to get one, but now I'm not sure.

Any experiences?

I had tge mirena fitted after DS and hated it the side effects were I felt pregnant. Had it out.

Tried copper coil this time had it in a month no bleeding yet (but I'm bf) cramps for about two days after insertion. It does hurt to have it in but it's quick taking it out is even quicker!

Everyone is different and so your experience could be totally different than mine or your friends etc.
