But Shea is how it is actually spelt. My middle name is also Irish, Siobhan and people always have a nightmare spelling it but I'd hate it if I saw it spelt Shivaun. I think that if you want an Irish name you should use the correct spelling not a phonetic version. Its the same with Sean/ Shaun/ Shawn. It's just my opinion but I really don't like anglicised versions of Irish names.

That's our favourite name. It's Celtic, short for shaemus, which is Irish for James. We might spell it shaigh or sheoigh both traditional I think x
