    I'd stick with the Shay spelling. People might start pronouncing it "Shee" if you spell it Shea.

    Its an Irish name isn't it? Nice :)

    i dont no any lads called shay.. i do a girl but spelt diff.. i like it :)

    I only know a girl called Shay so I wouldn't use it for a boy.
    It is a nice name though xxxxx

    i was in school with a boy called shay a few years ago.never heard it for a girl tho.

    To be honest, I think it sounds a bit too "urban" for my tastes. Might just be me though...

    I like it. I know a Shay and think of it as a boy's name. :)

    I know it as an irish boys name, but spelt shea i think. Not sure i like it or dislike it, Defo dont think theres owt wrong with it :) But i do think it will get mistaken for shane .

    I'd spell it Shay for a boy or Shea for a girl x

    I like shay its on my boys list so far :]
    there was a boy at my school called it but it was his nickname cause his last name was a weird one to pronoun lol ..
    i agree with lili24 .. shay for a boy and shea for a girl :) looks right anyways :)

    I have known 2 Shays and both are girls. I am not against it for a boy's name, just tend to think of it as a feminine name.

    Totally agree with this, the Shay just looks more masculine and Shea quite feminine x

    I know two Shays - the girl being Shay and the boy being spelt Shea. Its a lovely name xx
