We were going to have 2 ushers just thinking about that is what they tend to do at chruch weddings. But a few people have said to me at civial cermonies you dont really have/need ushers???

Im having ushers as we're getting married upstairs in quite a big building.
We're having the groom and bestman greet people - one usher showing them the stair and where to go - and another at the top showing them where to sit =] x

my H2B is having 2 best men who are doubled up as ushers on the day!! where we're getting married is quite small but confusing! one will be greeting the guests as they come in and the other will be showing them where to sit! i think anything goes these days really, if you think people will need assistance in finding the ceremony room then i would :hugs: .........congrats btw! :D

We are not having ushers,I think if we had a large venue then we possibly would have but just keeping it a small wedding so there didnt seem much point for us.xx

we had 3 ushers.
We didn't really need them, but it was a way of involving people that meant a lot to us.

No ushers for us, but it's a very small wedding.

xxx

Our venue is big enough and we're having a civil ceremony but I don't think that we are having any ushers  xx

We had two ushers at our civil ceremony (24 guests). They were invaluable when taking photographs getting all the right groups together quickly.

s Binzxy said, for us its a way of involving people in the ceremony so we are having 2 x
