Those of you with microwave sterilisers...

Last time I had a electric one so the mw one is new to me. I have a mam one.

My Q is how much room do you need around it in the microwave? Mine fits and doesn't touch the sides or top, so it does turn but there is about a cm room each side!!!!! Is this enough. Will it sterilise the contents effectively?

Long as you have enough room to get it in and out (remembering it'll be full of boiling water when it comes out) safely I'd say... ours didn't fit in at all so we went over to cold-water milton sterilisers.

We have the avent one and its a fairly close fit but as long as it does go in and there's a tiny bit of room I'm sure it's fine.
