Those that have PCOS do OPKs work for you?

Last year i tried using some of the normal 2 line stick OPKs but seemed to get a positive for about 7 days in a row. AF also came alot later than 14 days after i was using them..
My GP said that OPKs don't tend to work on people with PCOS because of the hormones we release, we end up getting false positives.

I have been on clomid for a year, have had ovarian drilling & a laparoscopy.. On 22nd July i went back to my fertility doctor to discuss what next as the ovarian drilling had not worked or shortened my cycle

I told him i had taken soy isoflavons this cycle on cd3-7 BUT did not think i had ovulated yet & i was CD22 when i saw him.

He scanned me & said that i was showing my signs of ovulation & also no signs that i was going to ovulate soon.... On 22nd July i went & got myelf some of the CB Digital OPKs & thought i would see if i got the smiley face come up. If it did i would no that they did not work on me as i knew i was not ovulating that day.. I got nothing..

Yesterday i got a sharp twinge in my left ovary so thought i would use another stick 2nd stick of the pack & was shocked to see the smiley face come up we made sure that we DTD lastnight.

Again i did another one today & again i got this

Tomorrow im guessing that i should have no smiley face? If i get a smiley face for the next 5 days (il use up what i have got) unless the smiley face goes & we will make sure we DTD tonight...

If though i keep getting a positive does that mean then that these dont work for me???

if you have no smiley face on the next test then chances are you will have ovulated.

I sometimes used to use the cheap ones-not for trying to get preg, but just to know if my body was working & I always had to use the 40miu ones as the more sensitive ones would always give me a positive and even on the other ones, there was always a faint line.

I know alot of women with PCOS that can still use the tests though, so see how it goes hun and good luck x x

I use these and get a smiley face for 2 days only, good luck
They arent the cheapest but I find them the least stressful, ebay are quite good for them
