What were your LO's symptoms and how were they when diagnosed?
I'm wondering if Ava has a CMPI. She has always had tummy issues. She had terrible colic and silent reflux and we're still battling the reflux.
She often screams out in pain randomly, she writhes around in pain, cries when passing wind and pooing, has silent reflux, excessively gassy, cradle cap, coughs a lot, sneezes all the time and is prone to gammy eyes.
Perhaps I'm reading too much in to things but this has been going on a while and its getting no better. Every feed is a battle, the docs are useless and just keep prescribing gaviscon and laxatives cos the gaviscon bungs her up badly. She needs 2 sachets per feed and she still has issues.
I've read that over half of refluxers suffer with a CMPI. I'm going back to see a different doc next week to ask for a hypoallergenic formula. Either Aptamil Pepti or Neocate.
I just wondered what your experiences were and if I was right in asking for a hypoallergenic formula??
