How often are your 1 year olds feeding? Harley turns 1 in 9 days and I'm wanting to form a routine (very loosely though) and wondering how often at this age babies should be feeding? Want him in a better routine so I can spend more time with the eldest 3 and feel now he is approaching one its the right time to do it.

Any tips or advice really appreciated. x

We feed on demand, and it varies wildly. The other day, we were out for 6 hours, and he wasn't interested at all - too busy! On quieter days, he might snack every hour. I'd say on average it's about 5 times a day and a really big evening feed.

Stalking.

Maddie feeds 3 times a day at the moment - is dropping a feed each month roughly since 8 months... by one year, having asked lots of BF friends, I am expecting to just feed first thing in the morning and last thing at night - during the day will offer water and other calcium. We are going to TTC though, so if we get lucky I might wean depending on how it goes. xx

3-4 proper feeds. He snack feeds too though. Some nights he feeds quite a lot too, others not so much.

3 times a day - early morning, mid-day and right before bed-time. If she ever demands at night I feed as well, but lately she's been sleeping through till early morning (5 or 6) so it's been mostly 3 times. I have to reduce it down to 2 though because I have to go back to work :(

I think I'll just give her a cup with regular milk in it to take to daycare as I haven't been successful at introducing bottle to her.

My guy is 18 months and still feeds like a baby some days.. currently he's on a food strike, teething and getting over what I think is a tummy bug and he's nursing constantly. I think it depends on if you're home to feed on demand, back at work, or if your baby is more boob oriented than food oriented. I love that we're still able to feed on demand, on days (weeks?) like this where he has little interest in solids I know that he's still getting everything he needs from me

It varies, but she usually has around 3-5 breastfeeds a day.

We do morning and before bed, plus if she wakes at night which touchwood she mostly doesn't recently. She wasn't much of a BF demanded though so I just offered regularly even if she wasn't demanding and then gradually dropped the feeds. She never missed it when I did so she must have been ready.
