Hi ladies :flower:

Apologies for the long post....

Last month was my last iui procedure and it resulted in a chemical pregnancy.

This month is only my second charting my bbt so I'm still very new to charting but does this look like an anovulatory cycle to you? (My chart should hopefully be linked in my sig).

The high temps at the start of the cycle were due to the progesterone I was taking to try and maintain the pregnancy. The bloodwork came back positive but low then the follow up bloodwork confirmed my hcg had dropped to just 9. Thereafter I came off the progesterone and my temps started decreasing.

Normally I would expect to ovulate around CD13 (according to the CBFM I used to use) but I didn't get a positive opk until CD18. I expected to see a temperature increase today which would potentially indicate ovulation (am I right?) but instead my bbt went from 36.54 yesterday to 36.53 today. A minor decrease but a decrease nonetheless.

I temp vaginally to try and avoid erratic temps! I've been taking a tsp of maca root powder everyday and last night I took an antihistamine before bed because I've really suffered with hayfever this week.

Any thoughts?

Ps, forgot to say that I took my temp again 20 mins after waking up (but had been up to feed the cats) and it went up to 36.70 but I haven't plotted that because I don't think it counts!

welshgem, I would not compare your chart to your previous cycle cos you were on meds. I'd carry on temping for a few days you will probably see a temp rise tomorrow. in the mean time keep BD. good luck!

Thanks Briss. I really hope i see a temperature rise in the next day or two!

First sorry about the chemical that is horrible to hear.

If you can ignore the high temps at the beginnings so it doesn't screw up your cover line.
If you got a a +opk you will hopefully see temp spike in the morning. The progesterone probably delayed your ovulation as it messed up your estrogen level.
Keep bding if you can and good luck!

Thank you Myshelsong, it was a horrible thing to go through but I'm trying to take the positive from it in that I have never seen a positive pregnancy test before that so small steps I guess.

You're right, my temp went up this morning and those high temps at the start of the month are a bit screwy. Is it best if I leave the settings on advanced? I had a play around with it this morning and changing it to 'Research' mode gives me nice thick crosshairs on CD18 but nothing on advanced.

I would select the specific dates and hit the ignore button. I do this also if I tempted late or early and there is a large temp difference.
