Names that start with the same letter for first and last. I have always loved the name Lilah. My OH's last name starts with an L as well. I thought it may sound funny, kinda like a cartoon or something.

Lilah Langford.

What do you think?

I don't mind them, obviously if their ending is a similar sound too then it can be a bit over the top, but if it's anything like the one in your example, then I think it's fine!

OH's surname begins with M, as does my favourite girls name, plus a lot of my favourite names are M names. So it's likely at least one of our children will have an alliteration name.

I personally dont really think it matters. What matters more to me is not giving my baby a long name. My boyfriends last name has 9 letters, and he likes Sebastian as a first name, so our baby would have 18 letters! Plus I like middle names, which makes it worse haha!

I think there is no problem. I actually like how Lilah Langford sounds ;) it will also help people remember her name as she gets older

I really like alliteration names and Lilah Langford sounds great to me! I'm actually consciously looking at names that alliterate (is that even a verb?) with my DH's last name!

I'm a big fan of alliteration names. Three generations of my family have First and Middle Alliteration (GF: Edward Eugene, F:Randall Robert, Me:Melissa Michelle, and Sister:Sarah Suzanne) I plan on keeping the tradition going with my children. Lilah Langford is a beautiful name!

I think that sounds pretty, I don't have an opinion really although now I think of it our girl name is lol- Ava our surname doesn't begin with A though. I love Lila for a middle name but without the H just because that is how my Nanna spelt it and it would be after her so would need to be spelt that way.

My DDs first name is O but her middle name is M as is her surname and I'd like to do the same with #2.

That's a lovely name choice by the way :flower:

We love the name Gregory and our last name starts with G. Know plenty of people with alliterated names (some even the middle names!) and don't really see a problem with it. I think it's cute :) :)

For me, I don't really like alliteration names. I had wanted to call my daughter Tallinn (my maternal gran's family is Estonian) but my OH's last name starts with a T and I just can't bring myself to do it!

Having said that, I think that Lilah Langford sounds really nice and if you like it you shouldn't rule it out on what others think.

I think that's cute! I took DH's last name when we got married, so my name is Kristina Kolodner. Now that IS a mouthful. I think as long as the syllables aren't of the same amount and it doesn't "rhyme" it'll be fine. To me, when two names (like yours) are put together like that, one actually compliments the other, instead of just taking a name you like and sticking it in front of the last name without much thought. I hope that makes sense!

I think depending on what letter the surname starts with they can sound great. Mine starts with a H which I dont like so much so we have already ruled out the H names. Also not going for any L ones either since me and DH's name start with that letter

Growing up, myself, my dad and my grandma all had the initials-MP ;) it was rather funny, my mom would tease us about it as she was the only one without them.

Sorry I got confused with what an alliteration name is lol, I was thinking it was a name starting and ending in the same letter, even though Lilah doesn't lol. I don't think we would have that issue, I'm not overly keen on names beginning with the first letter of our surname.

I dont like them. no specific reason why. But the important thing is the YOU like it.

Lilah was my top girls name if G had been a girl. :)

It doesn't sound weird at all.

Lilah Langford is a nice name!
