Thoughts on alliteration names?

I personally dont really think it matters. What matters more to me is not giving my baby a long name. My boyfriends last name has 9 letters, and he likes Sebastian as a first name, so our baby would have 18 letters! Plus I like middle names, which makes it worse haha!

My name has 32 letters in total :haha: my sons have 20 and 22 letters in their names

Wow winegums! I thought mine was long with just 13 letters total.

I'm going to be a proper teacher now so feel free to tell me to bog off!

Alliteration is when 2 or more words or names start with the same sound the letter doesn't have to be the same. For example Kate Carroll, Philip Frederick are alliterative but Cynthia Candice, Theodore Trent are not.

I love them they always remind me of comic book characters like Lois Lane, Clarke Kent and Peter Parker.

I think it depends, I would have loved to name one of my children after my nanna but with OH's surname it would be to many k's and l's.

I think Lilah Langford sounds lovely

.. I had a girls name picked out when pregnant with my second boy and it would have been Freya (surname fox) -have gone off it now but don't think its the alliteration thing, however felix or frank WOULD just sound like cartoon characters lol - so I think it depends on the combination of names xxxx

I like names starting with the same letters. we have a daughter whose name begins with the same letter as our surname. The example you give is a nice one, although I kinda think there are too many Ls with the three of them. I think if you had L names, there should only be the L at the beginning of the name, if you know what I mean. Like Lauren, Laura, Lucy, Lottie etc

I had a friend whose entire name was 25 letters  my OHs full name is 20 letters, comprising of 2 first names and 2 surnames no middle names), though he shortens it to 1 of each, and then it's only 8 letters total. When we fill in official forms and they have those boxes in which you have to put one letter each; there are rarely enough boxes for his name :dohh:

Oops! Haven't been to English class in a few years

Yeah, it sucks because I've always had my heart set on Lilah, But that is a lot of L's :haha:

My name has 23 letters in total, I've never really thought about it before! I'm planning on all of my children having 2 middle names, plus me and OH may hyphenate our surnames...so, they're going to have long names!

I think it's beautiful and sounds like a movie star name!

With my maiden name, the total number of letters in my name was 25 (my name is Victoria Elizabeth, quite the mouthful). My mom intended for all three of us to have 25 letters, but my brother ended up having only 24, so we're used to the long names.

I want to keep our kiddos names relatively short, so we're going with Ella Robyn K for a girl and Aiden Jett (or Jered or Jeremy, can't think of another J name we can agree on, but those are the ones I like) K for a boy (well that's if you ask me today :P).
