Love Connor, good solid name and not overused these days

My least fave is itai, when I read it I thought of the whole "bitty" joke :dohh:

So levi like lee-vai or lay vee? Most Jews pronounce Lay-vee... Or lehv as a nn

Conner is cute, too...never considered it before. It's so far from any type of Jewish name in our family!! I guess I can pick any name I want though !!!

I pronounce Levi, LEE-vie. The name is Hebrew and means "attached".

https://www.forvo.com/search-en/levi/ (the top pronunciation)

We can speak Hebrew :) see I don't like lee-vai like the jeans, all Hebrew speakers I know say lay vee... That is the name I would like not leevai.

Hmmmm, maybe it's not a great choice then if everyone might say lee vai :/

Its rude, off little britain. Just rhymes with itai think thats why it reminded me lol :) I didn't know it was Jewish, if its special to you then go for it or as a mn :)

I like levi too, I'd pronounce it Lee-viy. Connors a winner for me though :D x

Conner 5/10 - ok but makes me think of terminator
Oliver 5/10 - its ok but makes me think of cats
Ian 2/10 - its ok but everyone I know with this name dislikes it
Donnie/Donald 6/10 - this is the best one
Irving 4/10 - sounds like a surname
Gavin 3/10 - very 80s
Levi 4/10 - only know girls called Levi
Itai 2/10 - sounds odd, like a sushi type or something
Xander 1/10 - trendy, dont like X and Z names

Itai is a japanese word meaning an expression of pain, and these days lots of younger people know the meaning because of how popular japanese culture is. Wouldn't personally use it.

I like Oliver or Conner. Xander is lovely too. :)

My faves are Gavin & Xander

Dislike: Conner, Donnie/Donald, Irving, and Itai

Just ok: Levi, Oliver, Ian

Xander's cool although I'd probably spell it will a Z xx

Ouch! Lol, not offended at all  we have different taste in names obviously :) you know the Gavin I know is an early 80s kid. I think you're right about that. Still I think it is a nice name though. And Ian seems nothing if but basic/standard

Levi is a super Hebrew jewish boy name around my parts. People would give very strange looks if I introduced a girl baby Levi!! Where are you located?

Appreciate your response! Thx Hun!!

I like Connor, but with an o not an e. Really like Oliver and Ian and Donald (not Donnie on the birth certificate though).

The rest I just don't like, sorry.

I live in the north of england :flower:

I think Xander is the best (pronounced X-ander, not Zander)
Levi & Gavin are also pretty nice (btw I'd pronounce it Leevai, but if you wanted it Layvee I do like that too, but not sure how to make it so others would pronounce it right?)

Irving is a type of gas station in my area so that would be odd as a name

Ian is my least favorite...No reasoning behind it really, just feel like it sounds odd and the combination of Ia is a little hard to say without sounding funny IMHO.
