What is happening that's making you worry? What's her Food, drink, naps, sleep and general mood like? X

She is fine generally and has been her usuall happy self. Her sleeping has been ok - apart from the really hot night a couple of days ago when she just wouldn't settle. Her naps have been longer than usual - she normally naps for around 20-30mins but has been having around an hour+ the last few days.

It's her food and milk intake that is really worrying me. She is hardly eating any solids and won't take any more milk than usual. She has a 9oz bottle first thing - around 5.30am. Then usually she will have porridge at 8am but even at 9am she is refusing it. Then sometimes she will have a couple of oz from her bottle but usually not. She won't eat much at lunch time which isn't normal. But dropped her bottle ages ago so I'm not too worried about that. Dinner time we can't usually fill her and now we are struggling to get a small jar down her. But she is having her bottle afterwards. Then her bedtime bottle she sometimes has 7oz but recently will only take about 4 or 5oz.

She has a couple of mouthfuls then just starts spitting it out! I've had to start wearing an apron to protect my clothes! I'm finding it very difficult not to get angry with her for it

I just hope it's to do with teething and the weather :nope:

:hugs: can you pop to your HV hun and just tell her what your worried about she might be able to give you a few clues as to whats going on.

I'm at baby group tomorrow morning which is run by one of the hv's so I'm going to have a chat with her x

Erm I would say teething or just generally not feeling that hungry at the mo. I've been giving rory porridge this week cus hv told me to introduce another meal now but hes been having his bottle then porridge after but then point blank refusing bottle until about 2pm!!! He's obviously filling up way to much on the porridge so I'm not giving it him tomorrow, his milk is more important. I was thinking it was the heat but he did the same thing this morning and its been a hell of a lot cooler here today. So think I'm just giving him fruit in morning cus he wants food cus he watches me eat breakfast and hes chomping away with his mouth and whinging at me until I give him some food! Lol x

Yeah she is teething too.

How much milk is Rory taking if you give him porridge? Don't worry too much as long as he is getting a good 20oz a day then it's fine.

Up until recently Fran was taking about 20oz milk, sometimes a bit less, and 3 good meals a day - and put on more weight in 2 weeks than she ever has so far lol.

The milk you put in the porridge counts towards the intake too don't forget love xx

Evening all :)

I've worked out why LO's been so whingy the last few days and had terrible rash, she's got a big molar cut through.

Well he's had 25oz today but usually about 30oz. I just dont like the idea of him going so long between feeds. I even only made the porridge up with 1oz today instead of 2/3 oz but that didn't work. I didn't even give him his tea of Veg tonight cus I wanted him have as much as poss at bedtime! I think milk is so important and with him only been 5 months x
