thrush or hand,foot and mouth ? help pls?

for a wk now morgans had a sore willy and white in his mouth, i knew this was thrush, went to the docs tues, he got drops and cream, BUT he waking in the night every night 4/5times shouting/moaning, yday was worst, then he woke with all round his mouth sore and chapped, cudnt even have his dummy ,then 2day his tongues full of white blisters

all he can eat is ice cream, bananas , yogarts etc

its the sleeping thats driving me crazy most, cos then hes awful thro the day, im taking him bk to the docs monday , anyone know wot this cud be ?

Poor baby and poor you it's horrid when they're poorly so massie hugs x

Isaac has had both, he had oral thrush which cleared up with daktarin, which he then spread to his balls. Another course of daktarin later and he was right as rain. In himself, he was a little grissly vut that was pretty much it.

He very recently had hfm. This began on his limbs, feet and hands and fortunately steered clear of his mouth...

I'm no doc, but I reckon it sounds like thrush. The good news was that it cleared very quickly. I reckon as soon as the sores are cleared, he'll go back to sleeping normally immediately. Bless him x

DD was just diagnosed with HFMD today. Started with a really high fever in the middle of the night 2 nights ago then fever t/o yesterday then she started with a few blisters on her legs now she has them on her hands, feet and roof of her mouth. I would say what your DS has sounds more like thrush

Hey,
hope your little man gets better soon. I think it sounds more like thrush. Ive had experiances of both with mine, thrush my dd3 got in her mouth at a young age it was all white and thrush can also look ''chapped''. Recently my youngest (14 months) had hand,foot & mouth and although he only had the blisters in his mouth he was so poorly it was awful!! He didnt eat or drink anything either and it lasted over a week & woke constantly. I really fee for you & him its not nice and so exhausting!!
Treatment for thrush works quickly so see dr asap.

Aww poor baby

My son has had hand foot and mouth. It started with little spots on this feet but they then turned into blisters and more appeared all over his hands and in his mouth.

It took a week for it to completely go xx
