my LO has oral thrush and it has spread to my nipples, I'm not actually BFing her any more - just expressing. is it ok for me to give her my breast milk or will that mean she won't get rid of the thrush?

TIA :)

A friend of mine and her baby had this problem. She continued to breastfeed normally through it and pumped when feeding was too painful. Her baby was on a oral medication and she was given a cream for her nipples that helped combat the thrush. I would say its fine as my friend did well with it.

I was just told we have thrush too...doc said keep bf-Ing and pumping. She said I can keep all the milk IV pumped previously too.

GL!!! I hope it gets better for both of us. My baby was given oral meds and I am putting a cream on my nips. What are you doing?

thanks meg26 :)

thanks goldstns :) she has nystatin medicine for her mouth, cream for her bum and I took the thrush tablet, can't remember what it's called! hope yours goes away soon :) it's been one thing after another with me haha
