Is it possible to have thrush in my breasts, without the baby having any signs of it? Max had thrush 4-5 weeks ago, and was treated for it and it seems to be gone. But I keep getting stinging sensations in both breasts, and my nipples are getting sore and cracked and itchy if I dont keep putting lanolin on them. Just wondering if this sounds like thrush or improper latch? And if it is thrush what do I need to do?

Thrush is really hard to get rid of. Yes, it sounds very plausible that it is coming back. https://www.breastfeedingonline.com/yeast.shtml is a really good holistic approach towards treating thrush.

https://www.breastfeedingnetwork.org.uk/pdfs/Thrush_FAQs_for_Mothers_March_2009.pdf will help, too. You can confirm if it is thrush here: https://www.breastfeedingnetwork.org.uk/pdfs/Differential_Diagnosis_of_Nipple_Pain_March_2009.pdf

Sounds like it could well be thrush. Get some meds from your doctor and also take Acidophilus to (a) help get rid of it and (b) stop it from coming back! :hugs:

It does sound like thrush. Poor you! Stop using the lanisoh, it seals in the moisture which the thrush love. Lots of air drying can help with the itching. Hope it gets sorted quick.

bathing the nipples in a 1:10 solution of white vinegar in water (not wine vinegar) really helped me. I put it in a little spray bottle so I didn't even have to touch my sore bits. Let them dry off a bit before using antifungal cream.

Now I know its thrush. Just found a white patch on his cheek. That and he has all the classic symptoms. Clicking noise when eating, gassy, pulling of the breast repeatedly while eating. So do I go see his doctor or mine?

Well you both need treatment, can you get something from his doctor?
