My DD is 5 months old. I am 41 in July. Since having her, I have started aching all over. My knees, hips, feet, legs, and back hurt so bad I sit and cry. I have zero energy and I have no sex drive whatsoever. I have had numerous blood tests and finally was sent to rheumatoid specialist who said sounds like a flare up and will see you in October. He gave me something for pain, which does NOTHING. I started a new symptom this weekend which sounds like the beginning of restless leg syndrome. My calves and ankles feel hot and tingly and this causes me to want to move them around. This new development has caused me to do some googling and I have come to the same conclusion I did 4 months ago..thyroid problems. I have gained 20 lbs SINCE giving birth. I asked my dr. for a referral and she said no need since tests came back fine. I just read that you can have estrogen dominance which causes tests to look fine. I am going tomorrow and demanding a referral or my medical charts one. I have cried for about 2 hours straight tonight because I am so miserable and I do this often. I feel about 100 years old. Does anyone else have a similar story or thyroid problems and can share the symptoms with me? I am so frustrated.

I am 42 now but at 35 I felt a lot of your symptoms, they kept telling me it was depression  I was constantly tired, gaining weight and just had no strength to do anything. My neck was even a bit enlarged . My friend said maybe it is your Thyroid? So I went took a blood test and sure enough that is what it was. I was SOOooo happy , finally I knew what was wrong, cause I knew I wasn't depressed. I have been on Synthroid since, I have to take it for life. I get my bloods done every 6 months to make sure my dose is accurate, in the beginning when I was first told I had this it took about a year and going every 3 months for me to get on the right dose, it fluctuates your thyroid , eventually it stabilizes. It is a simple blood test that is it, it took about 5 weeks and I felt so much better.. Demand the test , if that is it , then it is an easy cure with medication. Hope you get some answers.. Good Luck :hugs::hugs:
