Thyroxine while breastfeeding?

Just found out I have an underactive thyroid (and here I thought exhaustion was a normal part of breastfeeding and pregnancy!). My doctor has prescribed Thyroxine to take but I forgot to ask if it's safe to take while breastfeeding.
Anyone else taking it. I can ring my chemist later, but would prefer to have an idea now...

Yes! Very safe and essential! I've had hypothyroidism for 8 years, I can't think of any reason to not take them.
