Tight underwear for him- fact or fiction?

Hi all,

Was just remembered heaing that it affects sperm if he wears too tight underwear. Does anyone know if there is any truth in this?

DH prefers tight but have been encouraging him to wear loose!!

My doctor and every woman on my mom's street that knows we are trying told us boxers are the way to go. tightie whities and briefs can restrict sperm flow. This is one piece of advice I have gotten from quite a few doctors over the past two years.

I have been doing SOOO much research on this and many other things. I have ready both. The latest one said that as long as the underwear isnt actually too tight for the person, then it wont affect it, but if it is a tighter pair, then it may cause problems.

I bug my DH about this all the time. I haven't gotten him into boxers but his boxer briefs are pretty loose. I just told him no baths and make sure they're not up against his body because we need those spermies!! Doc said so! The heat kills them. I have him on mens vitamin and vitamin E. Good luck!

It is because of the heat that the tight underwear would cause which could damage the sperm. Testicles are made to hang lower from the body to keep them cool so when they are wearing tight undies, it puts them up against the body. Hope that helps!
