SO, I've been told that I have a very posterior uterus that's tilted to the right?!

I asked my doc (GP) if that means anything but she simply said NO. I didn't probe any further...I meant to but forgot. So, I've been doing some searching online about this and I'm horrified about what I've found.

I read about it causing all kinds of problems....that I will not even mention here, but I am now super scared. Has anyone else heard of this? I have my first OBGYN appointment on Thursday so I'll be sure to ask her all about it.

Also my morning sickness has reached a new level...I actually get it in the nights not the morning...which sucks as I am now working nights at the hospital. I spent most of last night in the bathroom. My coworkers still don't know I'm preggers...so I'm sure they are now thinking I'm a bitch to work with. As I was unable to carry conversation for fear of barfing on them..t.

Today I'm feeling very weak and I'm finding it hard to get the energy to make myself dinner. It really does suck not having a hubby to help me right now. Oh, well I'll have to grin and bear it...which I will do!

Cheers to all

Hi hun, I had a retroverted uterus early on in pregnancy, meaning that it was tilted backwards instead of forwards. In 99% of cases, the uterus corrects itself during pregnancy as I'm sure yours will and around 2nd trimester or so your uterus may no longer be tilted. In honesty, after some time it has no room to "tilt", which may be why your doc didn't say much about it or say that is was cause for concern.

If you're really worried about it, call them up and I'm sure a nurse or midwife will be happy to tell you a bit more over the phone.

Thanks for your words...I am happy to hear that it's not a big deal. I have my 1st OBGYN appt on this Thursday so I will ask more q's then.

Good luck hun, let us know how it goes :)
