When my son is breastfeeding, I start timing it so that I know if he does it for 10min... he stops right when the 6th min arrives, and takes off his mouth. I hold him and try to burp him, and move him to my other boob. He does it again.. after the 5th min is done, he stops!! I realize that is when my boob becomes saggy!! would this be the reason he stops? I start squeezing my boobs and still see a little milk, so I assume there is milk, but why does he stop? I put him back again he sucks in for 2 seconds and takes his mouth away and starts crying..

What is happening? I try singing and calming him down, and then he breastfeeds again after a while, and that is when I have less supply than before.

Help!

He is probably getting frustrated because the flow has slowed down and so he has to work harder to get the milk that is there. He is also about to hit his 6 week growth spurt, and it is a rough one from what I remember. Keep trying to get him to nurse more, and your milk will catch up to his needs.

Maybe he is full? It can happen quick they first seems to feed for hours and hours and then almost overnight they can be done in 5/10mins...
