Time to move to assisted conception...sad, wonder, and why

Hi ladies,

I am categorized under unexplained infertility. Was born in a big family consists of 5 girls and 3 boys, each of my siblings have at least 3 children. Every year I have at least 1 nephew or niece born. So when I cannot conceive easily, I always sad and wonder why. I have sister in law and sisters that older than me (over 40) and still can get pregnant whenever they want . My mom even gave birth to her 8th child when she was 40!
Hubby tested and everything fine. I did tube test, and no problem. Started charting, opk, soft cups, preseeds, still no luck. I ovulated right on the time expected, Day 15th or 16th.

Married 8 years, 4 years unprotected sex (not really seriously planning for baby, just wait it to happen), 1 year serious try...but no luck. So from failed Clomid, I seriously thinking about IUI and IVF. But IVF really expensive and I don't think we can afford it

My AF is like a clock. Right on time and never late. LP also great, 14 or 15 days.

Sorry, I am ranting, but I know I definitely can get valuable info and support in here. Today I have my AF and so sad. Hopefully one day I will be a mom. Anyway I am 39 and hubby 40.

So my question is...can I join you guys

Hey Rona, sorry you are going through such a tough time. Have you met a reproductive endocrinologist yet? If you have already tried clomid, then IUI may be a good option. IUI may help, especially for unexplained fertility. Good luck. You will find lots of support here.

Hi Keyahopes, thanks for the reply. I am officially jumping from Long Term to Assisted Conception forum .

My OB will refer me to RE this week, and we will go from there. I am thinking about IUI and hoping it will work for us. Good luck to you also!

Hi Rona, good luck for your assisted conception, whether you do IUI or IVF.

And don't worry about being unexplained, lots of people with unexplained conceive through IUI or IVF.
