Calmer. I have to go down and file the restraining order tomorrow. I got a call from the detective on the case today and he really didn't tell me much. Just that they have to bring him in for interview and if he lawyers up then we'll actually have to go to trial and all that and get an AP to approve the case. He said if he admits to anything (which he won't) that they'll be able to hold him until the case is closed, but if not and they don't feel he's a threat at the moment then they'll just release him and send him a letter in the mail letting him know when court is and everything. If they go ahead and press the charges on him tomorrow than I'll get an order of protection right away. If not, then I need to file the restraining order. I know he won't admit to anything and he'll probably lawyer up to prolong this whole thing. So I need to make sure that at the very least he isn't able to contact me.

The other thing I'm afraid of is him hurting himself. He's highly unstable and has tried in the past to off himself. He's made threats about it before, but they were more bull shit threats to get me to do what he wanted. But I'm really worried that if they release him and he feels trapped that he'll kill himself. Don't get me wrong, I favor the dirt on shoe more than him, but that doesn't mean I want him dead. kwim?

Girl I jus had to do the same thing! It was so hard an I felt embarrassed by it but in the end I know it will be worth it for my baby and I. I had to tell things I never thought I would ever say to anyone.I second guessed myself sooo much till after I got it all done I cried for days after hoping I did the right thing! But I know I did. And you will know to it ain't easy but you gotta do what you gotta do. I hope everything works out for you girl!

. I know how hard it can be to get an order of protection on someone, I had to with an ex, and to tell the story over and over to the cops and detective gets exhausting emotionally and physically, but its the best thing for you and livi.

I know what you mean. My ex and your ex must be twins or something. Except mine didn't threaten to hurt himself ("It's against my Moral Code") but he has made it clear that if he goes crazy, he's going down in a way that would take a lot of other people with him.

I'm honestly scared of him. He knows it too. I don't pick up the phone, blocked him, he doesn't know where I live, etc.

I hope this goes as quickly and as smoothly as possible for you... (We can hope, right?)

Update: They tried to pick him up today, but they couldn't find him. They went to his work and he wasn't there. They went to his home and he wasn't there. Last I heard he still didn't have a car. Where the fuck did he go and how did he get there? And why aren't they calling him? Why aren't they trying to track him down? His phone has a fucking gps chip in it! USE THE DAMN THING! They're seriously letting me and my family go unprotected while he's missing knowing that he's a danger to us! WTF?!

Nope! The detective went home for the day and said he'd try again tomorrow!!
They told us not to press the restraining order just yet, since they didn't have him in custody yet! I WOULDN'T NEED THE DAMN RESTRAINING ORDER IF YOU HAD HIM IN CUSTODY, NOW WOULD I?!

The company he works for isn't the most honest either, so now I'm worried that if they showed up and told them they were looking for him someone could have called him to give him the heads up, kwim?

And now I get to worry and stress and stay locked up in my home until they find the *******. But at this point, I'd probably be safer in public!! At least then if he finds me I'd have police officers around me to arrest him!
