My baby wakes up usually 3 times during the night to eat, I take the first shift, my OH takes the second shift (I pump for him) and I take the third shift. There's usually 5-6 hours between my "shifts" and everytime I wake up completely soaked. Does anyone have any tips on controlling this? I really value my 5-6 hours of uninterrupted sleep :(

I use a "sleeping nursing bra" and Gerber brand nursing pads. Right now my LO is sleeping up to 9 hours through the night and I wake up nice and dry :) The pads a soaked, but they don't leak through to my shirt and they are breathable.

I sleep with a towel wrapped round my breasts but by the morning it's pretty grim, especially after feeding a couple of times and him dozing off and slipping off and it streaming onto the towel, lol. Last night it fell off and I woke up in a massive puddle. I try not to wear a bra at night because I don't get any other opportunity to get air to my nipples but I may have to sack that off. I don't like wearing a bra either, I might attach breast pads with surgical tape, lol.

bra and breast pads here (boots ultra slim) waking in a puddle can be so bad- found out the hard way got mastitus so really good pads are important- no cheap plastic backed ones. it gets better once BFing is established, i think i just wanted to sellotape a couple of nappies on to begin with...
